Although it's only a requirement on this diet to keep a food diary when you start, I'm finding it a very helpful tool to think about what I put in my mouth. I'm wondering whether I should continue even after it's not a required element of the diet.
Today's food diary for example:
Breakfast
Tesco sultana bran with skimmed milk
Lunch
Baked potato and baked beans followed by fresh cherries
Dinner
Home-made quorn chilli con carne with rice and 25g parmesan cheese followed by a Muller Light yoghurt
Drinks
Diet coke, water
Snacks
2 Alpen Light cereal bars
One thing I am conscious of is that I haven't had five portions of fruit or veg today, but that's unusual for me at the moment and has more to do with not going shopping for a few days than any laziness on my behalf.
