Went for yet another shopping trip in Bicester Village today, and my feet are thoroughly tired. Out of 80 or so designer outlets I failed to find a single suit to match my requirements:
- Plain black or black pin-stripe
- Three buttons up the front of the jacket
- Fitted jacket
- A size that fits me (normally either 44 long or 46 long in the jacket depending on brand, 40 inch waist in the trouser)
- Straight-legged trouser
I found lots of places that could have done it, but they have this stupid policy that when you buy a suit you have to have the trousers that they have paired up with the jacket, and because they are stocking for the average man, they very often don't fit me. Why they won't let you swap around I don't know.
No Prada outlet, which is disappointing. And the Paul Smith outlet was loverly but quite expensive, even in the sale. I came home with just a new shirt in a fantastic bright green, with a matching tie.
Oh and I have decided that I LOVE Ozwald Boateng suits, but unfortunately I didn't have £700 spare (yes that was the price of their suits IN THE SALE!!!)
