A human organism, on the whole, is organized intelligently (thanks, the Creator) and is well adapted to many things. Yet, there are some particularities that seem to be absurd. For example: why is the increased production of adrenaline accompanied with pleasure? Since it is this very pleasure that makes some people aimlessly risk their lives going in for extreme sports and entertainments. The latest example in my mind is my observations in the adventure park : people yelling of mortal fear in “Russian mountains”… I don’t wonder why they came there and why this attraction is so popular. I tried it myself, long ago. I remember the fear that my head should be torn off by the violent wind and an indescribable relief when it was over: “Yesss, we are alive!”
On the picture: an attracion named "Zigzag" in the Walibi park near Lyon. A very mild one, as compared to the "Russian Mountains", but for my kid, this has remained the strongest impression of our trip to France ! An adventure of two minutes the souvenir of which is more vivid for her than a flight by plane :)
