Happy Ever After In The Market Place

She says she was never brought up that way, but I know what she wants.
It's not that she can't have it either...it's just a little late, that's all.
She lives and breeds fear, the source of all her problems, or at least that's what she'll claim. There's fear, I see it, you'd have to be blind not to. But there's also a sickening distrust for those she loves the most. Not so much distrust as suspicion. She was crazy like that...she'd look you up and down, sniff your collar when you went to embrace her, poked around your things while you were off in the bathroom and that's just the kind of person she was. It wasn't that she didn't love you, in fact I would say the opposite, she loved you too damn much.
I know she had her secrets too, things she claimed weren't worth your time of day to stop and listen to and I watched as they devoured her alive.
