Health report

I underwent the colon surgery on the 17th of January. Everything went well and I spent only 7 days in the hospital (one day before it and the last day mainly for papers). I must say I mostly suffered from...boredom (in spite of my Kindle and my smartphone). I was on morphine the three first days but with a light dose of it. I felt a continuous but ( Read more... )

I hope so and having good morals is of first importance in those kinds of conditions.

*Hugs you*

I'm glad all went well with the surgery itself. It's very poor that all that stuff didn't work :-(

I am sorry to hear you have to undergo chemical treatment :-( I can imagine it does not make you happy.

*Good vibes*

Sounds to me that despite the inconvenience and annoyance with the failed equipment, you're doing exceptionally well!

I'm not sure what chemical treatments you'll be taking, but I wish you the best of luck!! You've got a strong spirit which I admire. Sounds like you've got a good and thorough doctor.

Thanks for the good wishes; I feel quite well now and rather strong spirited indeed. i apologize for having missed your birthday: I was at home already but not in a very active or communicative mood and stayed away from LJ for a while.

No worries. It's important you take care of yourself first and foremost. I'm very glad you're feeling stronger.

Tired and bored are okay. I went through a lot of that and still do even 3 months after my hospital stay for a stroke. Sounds like you had wonderful care and that helps alot in the healing process. Having patience is the most important thing as you work your way back to health. Wishing you a speedy recover and all the best!

Yes, the medical care was as good as the material environment was lousy. I already have almost completely recovered from the surgery (just a few tiny scars on the belly remain). The next step will be less pleasant though...

After a stroke, think about a change of diet for more natural, organic food with a lot of veggies and fruit and much less meat (but you probably know that).

I've gone through a lot of dietic changes, as I'm also a diabetic with cholesteral issues and hypertension. Just had my quarterly blood tests and they came out perfect. I was told, keep doing what you're doing. Still we both have long roads ahead of us. So here's to a smooth journey and good health.
