Back from vacation in the country and from long absence from LJ
I have to apologize for all the birthdays and interesting readings I missed while I was in my country house with little or none internet connection and even no computer for half of the time since my laptop crashed at the beginning of my trip.
However I was absent from LJ and DW for a more longer period, except for short comments. The reason was mostly sight problems. First a progressing cataract, and after my right eye was operated in July, a difficult balance between the two eyes, added to a very bad sight at close range from the operated eye (which is now very far sighted; I see quite clearly the horizon, which is of absolutely no use to me).
And this morning, as I was decided to make a new start, I lost my left lens because of the cat! No, he didn't eat it, though he would be perfectly able of such a deed (this kitten is a monster! he eats the strangest things) but this time he just distracted me by jumping everywhere like crazy and I didn't notice the lens had fallen down while I was trying to put it on. I probably swept it and dumped it in the dustbin; I checked but couldn't retrieve it.
Bought not long before my operation, the lenses were new and expensive; the remaining right one would do but it's damaged; it hurts my eye.
I'm so slow at writing in the best of condition; this will not help. At least, I'm seeing the end of my B/C novella: only one chapter left to write. But it will be the hardest part for me (all action and sex!)
