Passage of time on the internet
I am so excited to use html coding for font color again. Like back in the good ol days when everyone had AIM and Facebook didn't exist.
Speaking of which, I spent some of this morning perusing old journal pages I had from 2001-2005. 2001 I was coming of age, some entries I wrote before and after 9/11 and I was infatuated with a very unresponsible and uninteresting 18 year old who only listened to nu metal. Every entry was about how I could not live without him. Yikes.
After that phase, I moved on to a very vulgar and drug induced early adulthood. Every entry at that point was sex, alcohol, and punk rock. I said cock way too much,
and getting laid was a huge priority. It's interesting to see different fragments of yourself frozen on the internet, as cringe worthy as they may be.
One thing I'm looking forward to by reactivating to this is a weird social experiment. Remember in the days of AIM and geocities where you connected with other people in different parts of the world who had the same interest? Let's try it again.
