Jujitsu Kungfu Karate

It all started when my joints started hurting... in particular my left ball socket joint in my leg. Its mainly because of ZERO exercising. I just walk to my car and around in the office... and I drink beer at bars. Yep.. such is the relaxing life ... that Great White branded beer is so hoppy tasting I would drink one every day if I could.

Anyway i've been drilling into which form I want to learn and its such a hassle. When I took kung fu at UCLA, it was really nice... the instructor was some super martial artist and I think he even competes a little. We did jump kicks and threw each other around and it was awesome fun. Flip throws weeee!!! So I finally narrowed down to this karate place which isn't kung fu which holds its class in a gym.. turns out the guy teaching is a high school chem teacher and has said that he has kids now and so cant compete anymore.

I just think .. huh ... not sure if I want to train under a guy who has mellowed out a bit. But all the kung fu places I looks at looks so painfully ancient .. like they adhere to all that culture dancing and pose all funny like in chinese kung fu movies. And it seems jujitsu is very close combat style where not much fancy kicking is invovled ... and I like fancy kicking. Jujitsu .... sounded great in the Matrix ... but turns out it's supposedly kung fu they were practicing there. Anyway, I'm gonna go in and do some trail karate and see how that goes.
