I could write a very fangirly filled post, but truth is that Sarah seriously deserves better from me. She is without a doubt the best performer I have ever seen in my life. My life has been rather short and I have many shows to look forward to, but this show was just perfection. My respects to Sarah. Ahh who am I kidding. Sarah is fucking amazing and I will flail about it. XD
I got to the forum at about 6pm and waited out in the freaking cold. They said they would open the doors at 6:30 and OMG guess what? At 6:30 a man said "Ladies and gentleman and children of all ages. The doors are now open" lol I went in quickly before all the 'old' people took most of the walkway in the stairs. What good did that do. Once I got there the escalators were out of service and there was something wrong with my ticket that none of the people seem to catch on. After walking for a little while looking for an elevator to take me to my supposed level I asked someone to give me some sort of direction please. He looked at my ticket and said "oh you are in the 302 section. Come with me" There there was a lady behind a counter with many tickets and she was "Are you alone? Your ticket has been upgraded. You are a ticketmaster club member. You have been moved to a better seat. IMO you have the best seat on that section. Enjoy the show." And then she winked at me. I was soooooooooooooooooooooo happy. My seat was so fucking great. I went and took my seat. I didnt want to sit and wait and went and took a walk around the place. I gave a look at the merch and swaw that it was WAY too expensive and went to buy myself an iced tea. OMFG 5 bucks for bottled tea. O.o
After that I just went over and sat until the show started. It was soooooooo cold. It is a hockey stadium. And it was all smokey inside because of the cold. O.o *shivers*
The stadium was packed. :) And once the lights dimmed and Gothica started playing everybody got quiet. And my heart started to pound. WTF LOL It's crazy, but I was about to go into hysterics. lol She came out covered with some black rags all over her. She walked all the way to the front and then came the dancer/twirler girls and sorta ripped them off. And what was left was Sarah in her beautiful red dress. (The one used for the Symphony photoshoot.) *points to icon* And "Fleurs Du Mal" started. That song is totally headbangable! LOL jvhegfjkasbjfbjhfiwhefjkdnkcjskdn No words. Sarah is amazing. She really knows how to work that dress. I want that dress. lol She then said that Florida was her favorite state. (She probably says that in every show) lol and then introduced what she said was her favorite song from Symphony. "Let it rain" While I love that song (I like the lyrics) I still have to find what she loves about it so much. After that came "Symphony" I had never found anything 'special' about this song. Listening to it live changed my mind. The dancers came out and did one of those little dances and left. And then Sarah was behind this sorta big monitor thingie where a lot of images where being projected. "Nella Fantasia" <3 <3 <3 and "What a Wonderful World" were the next songs. Another change for Sarah and she came back with a black dress and sang. "Attesa" I almost cried. Another song that meant nothing to me but listening to it live was just amazing. Another change. (She changed a lot) Then came "Hijo De La Luna" <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 there arent enough hearts in the world. For some reason this was the song that got the loudest claps at the end. I know why I love it. Why does everybody else? O.o After that was "Anytime, Anywhere" and some song that I have never heard. But she went up on a swing and sang it while being 15 ft up in the air. O.o Then we had the last song of the first part of the show and it was "Storia D'amore" There was a 20 minute break and then we were back.
She started with 2 songs from A Winter Symphony. Then came "Canto Della Terra" <3 OMFG some guy sang it with her. His name is Mario and his last name starts with an F. Gosh darn it I NEED HIS NAME. It was Such an amazing duet. Standing ovation for reals! Then came 2 other songs. One that I have no clue what the heck. And then there was "Ave Maria" A duet with Fernando Lima. It was lovely. He has a "voice of an angel". Just like Sarah said. Another change. Some songs I didnt know. Then "The Phantom Of The Opera" Now I know most of you might know that I am a big fan. This song made me cry. I was just so full of emotion. Not many people get to experience such a wonderful thing. And it was better than anything else she had ever recorded. All the versions on youtube. The Andrew Lloyd Webber Collection Fuck all that. This version blew al of that shit out of the water. Now it could just be that I was there. But I dont think so. While I was listenign I even asked myself that. It was just orgasmic. It was another duet with that Mario guy and he is the best Phantom voice EVER!!!!
I am totally missing a song here, but I cant be bothered with looking it up. lol The last song was "Time to say goodbye" <3 <3 I was kinda expecting another duet, but no. No duet. People started filing out. WHat idiots. lol She came back and did "Deliver me" <3 <3 <3 and "Running" OMG I love Running, but live it is a million times better. The guitar solo <3 <3 <3 <3 This woman has the most amazing voice in the world. The show was flawless. I wish I could have heard "Pasion" with Fernando instead of that "Ave Maria" song, but whatever. It was an amazing long show. Sooooooooo worth my money. It was a big difference from the kind of shows I have been too lately. I wanted to get up and sing and just jump, but them that would have been weird. I totally missed the sweat and smell of beer. I'll get over it. XD
It was soooooo cold outside. But there was a lot of people walking so there was no fear of getting mugged or anything. While walking I overheard (on purpose) a man saying that he could die happy. :) He was sooo cute. I sometime find older people adorable. He was all "I've seen it all. I can get on a fetal position and die."
Sarah Brightman is amazing. Better live. Makes me wonder WTF have I been listening to lately. LOL It was funny because when I walked into the apartment my roommie was watching tv and they were giving the Britney Spears video. I had never seen it and didnt really want to. I had just come from listening to one of the most beautiful voices on this earth and come home to Britney Spears. My roommie hates Britney too. But we watched the vid and laughed at it. Sorry Britney you fail. How can your following be so big? You really do suck. And that is not comparing you to Sarah, but to every other pop musician in existance.
Sarah pwns my life now. I loved her going into the show. Now I'll worship her. She is so cute and just draws you in with everyword that leaves her mouth. LOL
EDIT: Ok I remeber the song that was missing. Now where was it supposed to go. Now that is a big question. LOL "Dust In The Wind" If I am not mistaken it came after "Nella Fantasia" But I cant be sure. Bus she sang it tonight. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
