The Steele Legacy 1.3

Mar 25, 2010 22:49

Last time, Jericho (and his oldest brother Jonathan who I had to involve due to my going overboard and building an overly expensive frat house) graduated, leaving brothers Jame and Jaycob to be place holders until the next generation makes their way to SSU.

The first thing he wants is to hurry up and get married to Veronica, after I exhausted most of his worth on the plot of land and bare bones of what will grow, hopefully, into a suitable legacy home.

On a side note, our founder wasn't the only one in his family to have a wedding. This is Jonathan and his new wife. I just wanted to show that, for once, he isn't being trailed by a cloud of stink.

Jericho: I don't know why Dad has to go gossiping about my grandmother at my wedding.

Let's hope this isn't setting the stage for the whole family, Jericho. Veronica already hates your twin. Let's not incourage more in-law hating.

Now, I don't know why Jericho was complaining, but this little starter house kind of turned out cute. They have one bathroom (for now), a master bedroom, a living/skilling room, a kitchen, a nursery and a very small foyer. Also, it didn't take long after tending to the new house that some other things needed help, too. Like Jericho and Veronica themselves!

I can't remember exactly where I downloaded this wardrobe, but it's amazing and I have access to all clothing without having to dip into my sims' already very-low funds. Veronica has always, and will always continue to wear a fashionable hat of some type. I just thought it was time for the toboggan to go and for her to have a new hair style. We'll see how this goes. The new hat has some issues of its own, I found out later.

Like, um, she even wears it to bed. I don't know, maybe I can work this in to some crazy obsession of hers. It'll be her little trademark and I'll never be tempted to use it again after she eventually dies.

Meanwhile, as the new wife is sleeping off her honeymoon jingles, Jericho also gets to explore the closet of mysteries and see if he can maybe find some suitable... well, everything. I think the poor thing had no money for clothes, after college and ended up borrowing from his elderly Dad.

See, he agrees, but he'll have to wait on those other crazy fortune sim wants. That baby want is very, highly possible, though. I heard jingles after your spectacular honeymoon.

Yeah, that spectacular honeymoon on the living room couch!

Ok, here was my other issue with Veronica's hat. It's not in the actual 'hair' category, but is considered an accessory, and is in the 'glasses' bin. So when I came back to the game after a while and decided to play some more, it was just hovering on its own, in the living room.

As if, you needed more convincing than just the jingles. She didn't stay in this outfit much longer. It doesn't have a pregnancy morph and I have that little thing where she doesn't stay in actual maternity clothes, since they're really rather fugly.

Jericho: You know, that hat really makes me want to kiss you.

Veronica: I know, honey. That's why I wore it to bed last night, remember?

Veronica: I've been thinking, though. I don't want to send our baby to public school, like, ever. I can't tell you how much I hated that nasty yellow school bus full of noisy kids and...

Yeah, I think Veronica is in for a surprise. Marrying the legacy founder isn't a good way to get rich quick. I can already tell she's going to be one of those snobby private school moms.

Jericho has always been sociable enough and takes to some of the most eccentric of sims, including his older brother Jame, but for some reason, he and Nervous Subject, here, just don't get along so well. I think our founder is also a bit confused. We all see Nervous Subject and he's seeing the Llama he hates so bitterly from his college memories.

Then, he invites in this mutant who looks like he might try to murder them in their sleep.

And to top it off, goes off to amuse himself in the bathroom. I've heard of getting cold feet before marriage, but this is leaning towards ridiculous.

Thankfully dear old Dad shows up to maybe set him right.

At least he comes around and doesn't completely forget about having invited a hungry stranger off the street in for dinner, but I don't think Veronica is in the mood for guests or games. She needs her rest.

As seen, here, a few hours later when she was needing to both eat and sleep at the same time.

Her fun meter was also in the red, so as soon as she eventually finished her dinner, she headed straight for the easel, to continue working on a fairly decent painting of their happy little home.

No, she still isn't comfortable enough for company, Serdar, but thanks for everything anyway.

......

But I think you might have brought his confidence up a little too much. This does not bode well.

Nor does this, hours later when the game decides its cold enough for Jericho to need a hoodie when he was already wearing a sweater. They don't look too confrontational, but rest assured, Jericho is now furious at Vidcund for causing such a mess. He was only trying out his new telescope... You are NOT a Knowledge sim, Jericho.

Serdar is still proud of his son's accomplishments in school, from when he was a TEEN. I really don't think Jericho is quite so fragile that he needs admiring by his Father every few sim hours or so, but it's good to see that they have a healthy family relationship. Just so Serdar doesn't get too close to Veronica... He is a lonely old widower after all.

See, here, he was totally trying to be sneaky and take another peak through that telescope, but I caught him and he's shocked! He was almost there, too.

But then I made him go do yoga. He has a LTW of being a Hall of Famer, but no careers in sports have come up yet, but he will need about as many body skill points as he can possibly get. I just don't want to have to break down and buy one of the exercise bikes because, for some strange reason, they are so addicting to my sims and that's all they ever want to do... worse than starting and never finishing paintings on the easels..
