Progress....

Some of this is redundancy from my mundane blog:

Small rugs for Pennsic have been washed. Larger ones will get shakes and vacuums later. Sleeping bag to be washed tomorrow.
Sheets all clean and ready to go too. Forgot to air up the air mattress to test it. Will have himself do it tomorrow. Will have to put it up high out of the way of Kitty's claws.

I re-washed the white linen lining for the Heraldic Tabard earlier this week and it came out great. When I pulled it out to work on it the other week, I noticed some discoloring. I think when I had it out at Foxes on Friday night there must have been some residue on the tables that transferred (they FELT clean at the time).  Fortunately a normal wash took care of it. I was afraid I'd have to break out special chemicals to get it right but it was not necessary. I pulled out my loom to use as a drape so it will have someplace to stay out of harm's way when I'm not working on it. I'm not sure if attaching the piping is going to work. The satin is very slippery, and I don't know if I have the time or patience to put it on as well as I would like and I've not seen piping on any of the examples I used to determine the cut. So I'll save it for something else. All of the materials came out of my pocket/private stash so I'd rather save the piping for something more appropriate later.

Books are getting re-shelved, which helps when I need to look stuff up. Fabrics and supplies are slowly getting transferred to clear plastic containers. I'm such a visual person I really need to see stuff. And with the dust in this house and having a cat, I like to keep everyhing contained for cleanliness.

I have so many supplies, I have no room to work on them. But It's a LOT better than it was yesterday. I put a bunch of stuff in the sewing room closet, so my sewing room feels much more spacious. I just need to get my tabletops cleared so I have a functional work surfaces.
