Byzantine Costume Complete
Well, this is me in the 11th century Byzantine dancing girl outfit. Grey hair on top and all...squinting in the sun at Coronation this past weekend. I'm suprised I looked halfway decent. I had stayed up all night the night before. (Yeah I know, I'm not supposed to do that, but sometimes things don't get done otherwise unless you burn the midnight oil).
I obviously need to widen the neckline or maybe pin it in place underneath.... I had some schootching down issues. But I got lots of compliments and I am super happy with the matching earrings too.
I wanted to be doing something appropriate at coronation (I just can't sit still) so I brought some purple wool to spin into yarn. I figured spinning something purple would be appropriate for a coronation (purple being royal and all).
So, I although the girl in the dancing outfit didn't dance, her spindle did.
