Well, Ymir approaches and ... I'm not ready. Not packed, but I am snacked. :-) I didn't get to exercise last night, but errands did get run and a healthy dinner of shrimp, brown rice and veggies did get cooked and consumed. Emerson has his reservation for a weekend in doggie hoosgow... ie., the kennel. :-( I'm going to miss him something terrible. It's the part of eventing I loathe... I either take him and spend every moment on the end of his lease, or find somewhere else to leave him and feel like I'm committing some sort of sin. :-( Yes, yes, I can hear those of you who don't believe in sin telling me so... but you DID get my point. I feel badly leaving my lovely puppy... especially when I can't pick him up until Monday... but.. the up side is THEY give him a bath. That part... I do NOT feel guilty over. Whew... relief is what I feel when someone else gives him a bath. He HATES them so much.

The Yellow November/Topaz afghan is coming right along. This yarn is heavier than the other 2 I just finished so it kinda makes my arms ache. I'm not as fond of this texture, but the afghan is coming out with this great color and highlights and it's OMG warm... dense and non-heat releasing. It'll feel great on the lap in the cold. I imagine it's presence on Ymir's site will offend someone or other in it's non-period appearance, but folks... I'm addicted right now to crocheting and I'd rather spend the time with friends who can tolerate my string passion of the moment, than leave site and miss you all. Yes, I'll have the naal binding, too, but late night... I imagine I'll revert to the I-Don't-Have-To-Look-At-It-While-Working-It afghan. And NO, I won't even be pretending it's "period".

Got to get some fabric out to donate to Padragin's cause of auction-ness for Saturday. I think it's to help the barony, this one. Hope it goes well for both her and the Barony. Mostly, however, my accomplishment will be getting there, helping with troll, donating the fabric and the little muffins to the Tea. I also hope to get my bow out and maybe hit a target or two if the wind allows me to. :-) I am looking forward to seeing Betsy the Sea Serpent. :-)!!! Anyone who wants to come shoot with me, I'm willing to take turns with my bow. I want to go down relatively early so I get to see the targets before they are all shot up. I understand Kat did some great painting on them. Go Kat!!

Tonight... must pack as have to be on site at a decent time to help Rae.

Hope to see a bunch of you this weekend!

Love.
