It finally rained here. Thank goodness. When I got home last night after visiting with folks at Buckston my whole front yard smelled like fresh water and lavendar, like a wonderful warm shower. Very soothing. I didn't get to the gym. I stayed at work and finished out a master agreement I've been trying to resolve since February 2006. Today I'm proof reading the result and will be joyous to have this sucker signed. Really and truly, no agreement should take this long, but reorganizations of legal departments, changing personnel 6 times and gaps of responses from a sponsor of over 6 months will make it happen.

So instead of going to the gym, I hung out around fighters and meeting goers to visit and Tessa delivered to me the lovely scroll Windmasters' B&B held for me because it was raining during their court in camp up at Pennsic... amusingly on a rainy night here in Durham. (No, it didn't get wet and is currently sitting up over my TV so I can stare at it a while. Mis-spellings ARE period. :-)

Yep, I coasted last night. I've got my gym bag in teh back of my car today, though and plan to get to the gym after work and before Scott's weekly coming over for dinner. Hoping to squeeze in a trip to Costco on the way home, too. Gas in the car and more blank CDs are wanted/needed.

Yep, normal life progressing. Haven't really been on schedule yet since getting back from Pennsic and not really seeing that happening until after Labor Day's trip north. Just trying to be semi-good and get some exercise in and forego some of the full-of-fat food screaming my name. Would help if I could make myself cook a bit more. Hard to find the energy for it for just me. What is it about doing stuff for ourselves, the regular day in day out stuff that's so challenging? It's not like we don't know what's good for us, what makes us feel better, etc. Sheesh.

I think after I get back from next week's trip I'm going to shake up the gym routine and try the article I mentioned yesterday. Jaine (thank you!) sent me a link that has the pictures for the exercises in it so I think I may try that exercise plan for a bit. Shake things up.
