For the rather steep price (5 Eur for a "café crème", 2,50 Eur for an espresso, 3 Eur for that Meert waffle), service could have been better.

The waffle is the typical production of Maison Meert, right in front of the café. Maison Meert is in fact a legend in Lille for these waffles (filled with a mixture of butter, sugar and flavor), and this is their Parisian boutique.

Just around the corner are two other café / tea salon, including this minuscule one, and the brasserie Sévigné, where you can also eat. I was tempted to try their giant meringue lemon cake, but I chose the waffle. In hindsight, I'll have to go back!
