I just read the most beautiful, heartbreaking story. It's The Next Twenty-Four Hours by

Her warnings were: Where to start? AU. Character death. First person narrative (Harry's). Disillusioned!Apathetic!Harry. Gratuitous forking misery.
But it was beautiful. Definitely go read, but have the tissues ready!
