I just got back from the cinema. We saw La Rafle (this is the French site, which has a synopsis).

It's based in Paris, Summer 1942, during the Occupation, and tells the story of the Vel d'Hiv Roundup. Cinematically, it is beautifully done, and the score is wonderful. Despite this, it is still one of the most depressing films I've seen in a long time. But I think I'd watch it again. Especially once it's out on DVD and I can watch it with subs. I would recommend it, if you don't mind films that make you cry.
