A meme that was alot of fun!  You just have to write out 20 random facts that you have for one of the Harry Potter characters.  You can do as many as you want.  Here's my attempt for Millicent Bulstrode

Author's Note(s): Written for the Harry Potter Random Facts Fest. Check out the other entries!  Have never, ever done anything like this.  I'm a little nervous :/

1) Millicent was born into a rich and powerful family.  Not as powerful as the Malfoy's with their political clot or as the Parkinsons who could produce well-bred children, by powerful none the less.

2) Millicent has no middle name.  She really only has a first name as a formality anyway.  Her name is Bullstrode and that's all she needs.

3) Millicent actually likes her first name.  Even if it came from one of her mother's magazines titles.  It's hers and she likes it.

4) She is a pure blood with pride in her heritage.  Well, at least until she found out she was related to Harry bloody Potter.  It's distantly, but still, to be related to that do gooder in any form is just embarrassing.

5) It's not only the Potter relations thing that made her wonder about her heritage.  Once, while she was in the library researching information for an essay for Professor Snape, she came across a section of shelves full of muggle books.  Figuring they were for Muggle Studies or equally something as useless, curiosity got the better of her and she picked up one of the biology books.  She found the section on genetics quite interesting, until she put it down to muggle claptrap, nothing but a way to explain their own failings.

6) It wasn't until she saw the statistics on the number of squibs being born that she wondered if the muggles weren’t on to something.

7) The above essay to Snape was late and 25 points were deducted.

8) Millicent wasn't any good neither at Potions nor, to the surprise of many, Defence Against the Dark Arts.  She was, however, very good at Charms and Transfiguration.  She found the look on Ron Weasley's face when he found out, personally, just how good she was at Charms and Transfiguration the most amusing thing she had ever seen.

9) Pansy Parkinson is her best friend.  They have known each other since they were very small.  It's not because they particularly like one another, it's just familiar.  Millicent doesn't know what she'd do without her though.

10) Millicent is not into big displays of public emotion.  Why on earth would anyone care to see someone have a mental breakdown and start blubbing and crying escapes her reasoning.

11) There was only once she cried in public (well, Pansy, so it still counts) and that was when her cat Gideon died in 5th year.

12) Millicent is a Slytherin in the true sense of the word.  She is cunning, ambitious and self-serving.  It's party responsible for her denying her parents and declining the invitation to join the Dark Lord.  Another reason was the disaster of Umbridge and the Inquisitorial Squad that she decided to choose her own fate.  Millicent serves no one.

13) When the Battle of Hogwarts happened, Millicent is ashamed to say she left.

14) She, however, came back when Charlie Weasly came to Hogsmeade for fighters.

15) If asked why, she explains it was not because she was brave or selfless; she simply did not want to live under the rule of a despotic madman.  Completely selfish reasons.

16) The turning point for this reasoning came -ironically enough- in her 7th year when the Carrows joined the teaching staff.  Her belief in the doctrine she had been fed was already fading, but it was when they tortured and strung a first year for asking questions about pureblood superiority that she decided she did not want to live in a world where they could do that to children.

17) Her parents were understandably displeased as she turned her back on the years of teaching they had given her, but they were in Azkaban so she really didn't care what their opinion was.

18) After the Battle, Millicent sat her NEWTs and then got a job at the Ministry.  She hasn't really been assigned a department, she just moves from to the other, like all the junoirs who work there.  It's where she met Percy Weasly.

19) Millicent and Percy have been together for two years and are very happy.  She trusts him, the highest honour ever given.  Percy treasures this.

20) Millicent would like to amend a bit of fact eight.  The funniest face she ever saw Ron Weasly make was when she and Percy announced they were getting married.

Priceless.
