So, of late I have been indulging in the local underground acoustic scene, which is apparently much more buzzing than one might think. Tuesday nights at O'riley's on forest and greenville and Wednesday nights at Rockhouse Live on Preston just south of Frankford, Taylor Robinson acoustic jams take place. Cheap drinks, good people, and fan-fucking-tastic local musicians. If you live in the metroplex it's definitely worth it to come out and hear my bad ass friend Robbie beat on the congas and hear all the great local talent. It had been way too long since I'd seen any live music around here and it's nice to be reminded that Dallas isn't a completely culturally dead city.
In other news, Denton is far away and I don't like driving there, but on the other side of that coin it's a groovy little place and I wish I had known how cool it was years ago. If you live out that way, check out Eisley hookah bar because it's bad ass.
