Etgar Keret, one of Israel's foremost contemporary writers, spoke in my class today. He was very approachable, intelligent, witty, and all around inspiring. Look up his short stories online -- some of them are available through the LA Times and NPR's This American Life -- they're weird in a wonderful way. My students were great, too! I was very proud of them.
Otherwise I feel unmotivated, which is unfortunate.
Today I am thankful for:
1. My students. On the whole, they're a good bunch.
2. Medicine. Life must have sucked before Tylenol.
In TMI news (stop reading if you're squeamish about girly parts), I'm now 5 weeks late, which is rare, possibly unprecedented. I can't think of anything I'm doing differently, so I'm going to wait and see...
