No, no... That's great. That's exactly the kind of review that I appreciate; telling me what you did and didn't like.

To answer some of you issues:

The name, well, I was originally going to go with a different way to pronounce it (pow-la instead of paw-la), but I didn't like the way that it read when I wrote out the description of her saying it. I really liked the odd pronunciation, but it didn't happen, so I went musically instead (imagine that).

The coloring, specifically the shirt. "Nothing says 'pay attention to me' like clashing colors. I think she knew what she was going to end up with, and went with it anyway. Much the same way that another woman would wear day-glow anything. Pay attention to me!!!!

Sandals happened because I was going out of my way to avoid heels of any sort. She had made some slightly girly effort (Look, I'm all pink!), and got shot down. That's kind of where the tomboyish thing came about as well. So, she's short, and I wanted to convey that even though Sam wasn't terribly big, Paula was definitely smaller.

The drink, well... it ended up being more than what I was after, count-wise. I think I started out ending after just four, but then kept adding some in, then went back and re-counted how many I had in there and went, "oh, crap, I may have gone overboard here." Uh, yeah. But, I left it anyway, stemming back from a comment on PiP that "maybe Paula just moves that fast." Well, maybe she's a bit hammered, and maybe four wasn't going to be enough for someone even that small to be that fuzzy... Hell, maybe, she passes out while Sam sings to her.

Thank you, so very much, for your words. Maybe I'll pull the opinion of a more "fashionably conscious" woman before I go with scary clothes combinations (gotta admit, that's a bit out of my depth).

The hallway kiss, well, I will admit to owing some of that to the late, great Coleen Thomas (prolific writer of lesbian erotica) and her "how to" on effective girl scenes that I found at Literotica. I like to think that I covered all the bases there, and according to you, I did that well enough.

Cheers!
