I know that there is already a bunch of propositions about the ideal casting of The Hunger Games and I really loved what I've seen so far. I still wanted to do one, more for my self actually, with the actors that I've been imagining while reading. Some have already been proposed many times, and others not. Anyway, I hope you'll like my choices :) Feel free to leave a comment; I'm very open minded, and I'd like to have your thoughts or your propositions. One more thing, I apologize in advance for my english :).
So, yep I know that this choice is not the most original one, but she's the very first Katniss that I've had in mind. I read the whole series with her as Katniss, so yeah, it's a bit hard for me to chose another actress. Althought, I've seen really good ideas for her in other picspams. Anyway, Kaya is a really good actress, she's 18 and totally fits the description of Katniss for me. Strong and fragile at the same time.
Peeta. As one of my favorite characters it was a bit difficult to cast him. I've seen many interessting propositions about him, but I had to choose Alex. Once again, he was the first actor to pop up into my mind when I started to read. I know that he's definitely not a fan favorite as Hunter Parrish or William Moseley, but he has this sweet thing in the eyes that makes me go all "aww" when I look at him. So, yep, Alex Pettyfer is my Peeta.
I'm not a big fan of Gale but I don't dislike him either; He's just not my favorite type of character; what can I say ... I'm a sucker for cute things. Anyway I thought that If I choose an actor that I actually love it would make it easier to like him. And yay ... it worked ^^! I know that Gaspard Ulliel is a bit older, but Katniss described him that way ... looking much more older than an 18 years old boy ... so I thought he could fit the character.
Because she's totally adorable ?! I love Elle Fanning too, but like I said, this was the first actress I pictured as Prim.
For a long time, Mrs Everdeen was a big mystery for me. I couldn't picture one actress. I wanted her to be beautiful, just as Katniss described her, but I also wanted to find this fragile but also determinated look in her. I really think that Julie Benz has what it takes to play a perfect Mrs Everdeen.
Haymitch! I litteraly love this character! He's so well described! The first actor who came up into my mind was him! He has this crazy/adorable/impetuous thing in the eye which totally fits Haymitch.
I really love the idea of Kristin Chenoweth as Effie Trinkett! I do! But my first picture of her was Rachel McAdams. She can play everything ... she's so damn good and I'd really love to see her play Effie.
One of my favorite actors for another one of my favorite characters. What can I say ? Hugh Dancy is simply awesome. He'd totally rock that role. I was really glad to see him as a fan favorite.
These two kept changing into my mind all book one. I couldn't really picture them! So I did a little research and ended picking them up. I couldn't see Candice Accola being bad ass but let's face it ... she totally is as Caroline Forbes in The Vampire Diaries.
So I know that Thresh is supposed to look a bit more tanned than my actor choice, but I couldn't think of anyone else for him. Plus I just love this parring. She has this innocent look which remind me of Prim ... and this giggly thing in the eye which totally fits the description of Rue for me.
Do I have to explain ? Ian Somerhalder needs to be in every movie.
Annie. I felt completly in love with her and Finnick. I know that Rachel Bilson is known for very different roles but I think that she has what it takes to be a perfect Annie. She can be all smiles and laughs but she also has this vulnerable look in her eyes that totally fits Annie for me.
I'm not sure about what hair color Johanna is supposed to have but regardless of that, I think that Michelle Trachtenberg could fit the description just well. She can be fierce and strong and a little bit snarky, just the way I picture Johanna to be.
I couldn't find my President Snow :(, so If any of you have some ideas for me ... :) I'd be happy to hear them!
