Oh my! This is fantastic stuff. That outside-looking-in feeling, that inability to lose oneself in the moment and become a participant instead of a mere spectator?... Yeah. You nailed it.

I'm thinking of the Love and Bullets scene here, though I think the point is that this needn't be a charged, meaningful moment, but any everyday one.

I'm missed a lot of this, not being on this comm, but I think I'm figuring it out...maybe?

Anyway! Doesn't matter! Point is, I can see Laura being an observer in her life as a defense mechanism and of course, wily ol' Bill just keeps plumping the pillows on the couch, waiting for her to come on over and take a seat. Like a kinda stubby snake in the grass.
