I'm glad you liked the way the drabble doesn't ask or answer every question, but starts and stops in the middle of their relationship. In BSG in general there are so many more things we don't know than things that we do, so many relationships that develop off-screen, fights that brew between the scenes.
For a meditation on death and dying, this is remarkably sexy, sweet, and sentimental. I'm grateful that you chose to end on such an optimistic, open-ended note!
"Or" is my new favorite word. So much meaning in such a brief syllable!... :-)

Sure you're not Tauron. *snort* I'm sure she's quite often the tougher of the two of them.
What a marriage proposal!

"A proper send-off for a proper Tauron wife?"
"I'm not your wife."
"Your choice."
"Then yes, I'd like that."
"The tattoo? Or--?"
"Or."
"You don't believe in marriage."
"And you don't believe in death. We've got accept one, maybe we should accept both."
"Maybe we should."
Like, has he proposed before? Will they marry now? I love the questions this drabble brings to the table. Love it.
