Too Soon For Snow
Thankfully I am the 'Queen of Preparedness' so I wasn't caught off guard by yesterday's weather. Snow in October? It doesn't snow in October in Jersey! It's crazy! It's 15 degrees below average for this time of year and Reagen hates wearing his sweater but it's too cold for him to be out without it. I already had 3 containers of pet-friendly ice-melt and 2 snow shovels in the garage and had just put dry gas in the vehicles last weekend. Just like it's been for the last year and a half, we've skipped a season. We went right from summer to winter to summer to winter. There's been no real spring or fall in too long. The leaves on the trees are green and have yet to fall. The grass and other vegetation is green and my mother's flowers in the flowerbed bloomed just last week.
