Look at that pee vat ferment! The container is quite large, but appears disproportionately small propped up on my deck railing. It went back in the corner after it's sojourn to the rail.
So...I need to wait a week or two while the urine ferments (special thanks again to my youngest son for his Kidney Kontribution, without which this project would not be possible).
Meanwhile, I amused myself by amassing some wool, dried madder root and just for fun, wooden buttons. I also amassed my enamel pot, but that wasn't sexy enough to make it into this pic. Better luck next time, pot.
Now there's the enamel pot making up for lost time. Check out that money shot! Pretty sweet. Work it, pot!
The resultant product looks like awesome squiggly rust-red dread locks. I couldn't be happier with it. I'm currently pulling it apart on my hand carder, in preparation for felting. Not that you can actually see that part of the process, since this is a pic of the wool-sqiggle-mass doing some time on the drying rack.
If the rust colored wool plays its cards right, it may just end up as a spot of color on my woad/urine final project:) If it plays its cards wrong? Flying spaghetti monster.
