Crouching down in front of Willow, Xander was about to say something when he noticed her friend. It wasn't as though he hadn't recognized that Willow had been sitting with someone, but this girl seemed so quiet and unassuming that it was almost as though she wanted to fade into the background. "Well hey there," he greeted, offering her a wave. "I know I've seen you around, but I'm not exactly the brains of the operation; that's strictly Will's turf. I'm Xander. Willow and I go back to the womb." After a moment, he retracted that with, "Actually, not really. Because that'd be kind of gross."

Noticing the picnic spread, Xander looked around and remarked, "Hey, check out the dibs. Is it because you knew you'd have a visit from someone smarter than the average bear?" Looking back up at Willow, he noticed that there was something off about her expression. Not wrong or anything, just... it was the same kind of look she'd give him when he used to pop up in her room when she'd much rather be doing something else. "Something wrong? I'm interrupting something, aren't I?"

Realizing something, he dropped his head in his hands, not believing how dense he was. "Oh man, I should've known. I'm sorry, Will." Looking back up at the two girls, he held his hands up as though in apology. "I keep forgetting you do the college thing. I just crash-landed in the middle of a study session, didn't I?"

Oh my gosh. How un-observant could you be? Willow knew Xander, at times, wasn't like the cleverest guy around. But she'd grown up with him; they knew each others quirks and stuff. And yet he couldn't see when she was in love? It had actually surprised Willow a little bit that no one had seemed to notice her walking around no sunshine a lot. Something which she totally hadn't done since... Since Oz. Actually, s he'd done a lot of moping around since Oz had left her.

Now it might be true that Willow was socially awkward, she wasn't an outsider at school her entire life for nothing, but Xander was even worse. As said before, not only was her best friend oblivious, he was also determined to embarrass her to death.

"Xander, ewww," she muttered at the remark that they went back to the womb. She shot a glance at Tara and winced on both their behalf. "We're not related," she quickly said, "if that's what you're thinking. What with the whole womb sharing. We didn't share a womb; I was alone in my Mom's womb as far as I know. Not that I can remember, unless I do some sort of hypnotizing spell sorta thing. Which I'm not. Anyway, we *so* didn't share a womb," Willow rambled, looking up at Xander with a frown.

The guy was determined to be as oblivious as possible. Willow knew for a fact that Buffy by now would have figured it out by now. Maybe it was a girls thing. Huh. It was, in a way, kinda annoying. Cause Willow wanted to shout to the world that Tara was hers and that they were so very much together. But then there would be awkwardness and weirdness and she'd drag Tara into a world that wasn't just small really not dangerous spells and magic. It was with the demony things and the vampires and the... yeah.

"Yeah sure, Xander," Willow nodded, lacing her fingers with Tara's in an obvious way. "Cause we totally always study without books," she remarked dryly, thinking Giles was having more of an influence then she might have thought. After scooting closer to Tara, she raised an eyebrow at Xander, tilted her head just a little bit and studied *him*. She wondered how long it would take Xander to figure things really out. Either he was gonna do the denial thing or-- Yeah. Or...

Tara looked up at Xander as he spoke directly at her. She smiled and let out a small giggle at his mention about him and Willow going back to the womb. Of course, that put things in perspective. These two were childhood friends and Tara had to make a good impression on Xander if she was going to really get to Willow. Without the best friend's approval, she was as good as gone.

She didn't know what that felt like, though, considering she hadn't really ever had a best friend.

But it was clear that Willow hadn't mentioned Tara to even her dearest, closet friend. She squirmed at the sudden nervousness that came upon her. Especially when Willow took her hand into hers, holding tight and even coming closer to her. She glanced briefly down at their contact before looking back up. "Uh, we were just having a picnic. But, please, help yourself. Willow picks out the b-best foods for picnics. She's, like, uh, Picnic Gal or s-something."

Xander raised both of his eyebrows at Willow's quick amendment to his jest. "Well, it's obvious that we were never wombmates, I'd think," he told her with a smirk. "I mean, one of us is charming, witty, gorgeous, and has one heck of a left hook. The other one's a guy."

Xander glanced down at the food at Tara's comment about the picnic spread. Okaay, so he wasn't interrupting studying. That was good. But maybe magic? Willow's been getting really gung-ho about this magic stuff lately and... and... and out of the corner of his eye, he saw that she was holding hands with a girl. With a girl that was not Buffy. With a girl that was not Buffy and while he wasn't in the middle of one of his random late-night fantasies in which every woman alive was a lesbian but still found him irresistably attractive. A lesb-....

Pursing his lips, he raised his eyes to look at Willow. She had the slightly amused head-tilt thing going on, a sure sign that she was calculating how long it would take for something obvious to dawn on him. His eyes went over to the vaguely familiar girl named Tara sitting besides her. He couldn't tell if she was stuttering because she was nervous or if she had a natural speech impediment, but he found that he was selfishly grateful that he wouldn't be the only one stumbling on his words here.

He opened his mouth, not knowing what he meant to say. Somehow, it didn't seem right to give Tara the classic 'hurt-my-best-friend-and-I'll-hurt-you' speech. Nor did he know whether or not to react with a nonchalant 'good for you' or recommend a double date between him and Anya or a triple date with Buffy and Riley or anything like that.

After a few moments of simply opening and closing his mouth, he held out a hand and remarked, "Okay, I'm trying to get this straight." Even as he spoke, he had to force himself to not make a pun out of the straight comment. "Before I say or do anything too... I mean, I just... you are together, right? That's the basic gist I'm getting here? Because if not, bad gist! Not that there's anything bad about it, just... so... are you? Together, not bad. Because I know you're not. Bad, that is."

Looking down, he groaned, "Feel free to stop me with a kick to the face at any time."

Attack of the butterflies. Okay, not butterflies. Cause butterflies were of the pretty and that's what she felt when she looked at Tara, or thought of Tara or... Kinda like she had with Oz only more. This kinda made her wonder about several things... but anyway. Butterflies. No, not butterflies. What she felt when she looked at Xander were maybe kind of a Moth or something.

The tingling feeling in the pit of her stomach as she watched his face. Watched the confusion there, then that frown which told her that the light bulb was way, way slowly going on. Willow wondered how long it was gonna take for it to be fully illuminated. Xander wasn't dumb, not by a long shot. Nope. But sometimes, with things like these? He was-- kinda saving up on the energy if you wanted to keep using lousy metaphors.

It was funny to see the light go on, but it made Willow even more nervous. She held on tightly to Tara's hand, who was babbling about the picnic, which really was the last thing on Willow's mind right now. All she could think of was 'what if he doesn't approve or something'. What then? She usually had been interested in boys. Oz anyone? And now she was with a girl. What was Xander gonna say? She didn't think Buffy was gonna have much of a problem. Giles she didn't really even wanna think about though.... Ethan? Yeah. Heh.

Then the babbling started. Willow wasn't sure what to think about that. She blinked a few times, glanced over at Tara and back to Xander as she tried to make sense of the flood of words coming out of her friend’s mouth. Though him getting it straight made the corners of her lips curl up into a tiny smile. And once again she glanced over at Tara, ducking her head shyly.

Well, guess the cat was outta the bag now. She wasn't gonna deny Tara, she had just wanted to keep the girl for herself for a while and, you know, not share everything. Not-not in that way! Oh gosh no.

"And risk the wrath of Anya? I don't think so," Willow muttered. And now that Xander was here and not leaving any time soon she wished he would sit down. She was getting a crick in her neck. "So uhm, Xander, this is Tara Maclay. She's not from Sunnydale but hey, that doesn't matter right?" Willow kinda liked that she wasn't from Sunnydale. And they might be into the magic together, Willow hadn't told her about the whole Slayer fight demony thing yet.

"She's my girlfriend," Willow said - hoped - as she drew herself up. "And uh, this is one of my best friends Xander Harris whom I so didn't share a womb with. But we known each other since kindergarden."

Tara's heart began to race when Willow's best friend -or one of them at least- began to piece the thing that Tara thought needed puzzling over together. She was right; Xander hadn't known Willow's liking to the same sex. Tara had known for a long time but Willow had so much confessed it was a new revelation, a new feeling that Tara was grateful she had realized.

But much like Willow's fears, would Xander accept them as a - did Willow just refer to her as her 'girlfriend'? Tara couldn't help the look of surprise. Good, warmy fuzzy surprise, but surprise nonetheless. She had called her 'girlfriend.' A smile joined the rest of her expression.

She shook herself out of those thoughts and blinked, glancing back up at Xander. "Uh, n-n-nice to meet you X-X-Xander," she stuttered. Nervousness was taking over again. Willow calling her 'girlfriend,' meeting her best friends that could make it or break this. "Wow, kindergarten, that's... um, a long time... ago...." Her gaze suddenly fell to the ground at the lameness of her statement.

Duh, Tara.

Xander's throat went dry as he tried to make it through the introductions. He had nothing against gays in the least, but he would have thought that, you know, after knowing Willow since the beginning of forever (which was about the equivalent of kindergarten in his mind), he'd at least have had a clue. A suspicion. A niggling feeling! He didn't think he'd be as thick-headed as a root beer... though, after all these years, he was sure Willow had come to expect such a reaction from him.

"Tara," he echoed. "Not from Sunnydale. Well, that certainly explains part of her allure." Looking to Tara, he quickly remarked, "Not that I don't find you particularly alluring otherwise, of course. But then, I don't think my opinion of you in that sense matters much since... you know... Willow." He added the last with a point towards the redhead and an awkward laugh.

"Well, yeah, it's, uh... it's definitely nice meeting you, too," he continued, deciding in his mind that he needed to have a serious talk with Willow at some point even though he didn't even know what the talk would entail. "Really nice. And, uh, speaking of 'long time,' how long, exactly, have the two of you been...." Lesbianing? "...together?"

Turning, her stomach was kinda turning. Willow chewed her bottom lip as she watched Xander's reaction *and* Tara's reaction. Sure they both knew what they were but they never said it out loud. Truth of the matter was that what she had felt for Oz? That's what Willow felt for Tara, only it was starting to grow. Stronger, more, something. Sometimes it was as if she'd found her soul mate.

But how could you be happy with the love or your life when your best friends were gonna freak out, or look at you with disgust or... you know, that sorta thing. Not that Willow thought the whole disgusting thing would happen, not cause Tara was a girl. Neither Xander nor Buffy had ever shown or said they had something gay people. Not that it was ever discussed. Willow had resisted the urge to start conversations in that direction since she met Tara. She wanted to, just to see what her friends would say, but since they never talked about that sorta thing before she thought they might get with the suspicious.

But now the cat was outta the bag and all she could do was wait. Hold on tight to Tara's hand and looking at her girlfriend sadly when her stutter became even more pronounced. Sure sign she was nervous like heck too. Well, at least Willow wasn't alone there. They were both looking hopefully at Xander now, hoping *they* would be accepted. As a pair, as a couple, for who they were. Only Xander was doing his babbling thing again.

Willow felt somewhat relieved her friend hadn't recoiled in disgust or whatever, but she could tell he was confused and uncomfortable. Chewing her bottom lip she winced while he kept on babbling. Wait. Tara *wasn't* alluring? Hey!

"You don't think she's alluring?" Willow blurted out, obviously stunned by this observation as anyone so deeply in love would be. Insulted on behalf of their significant other. "Oh. Uhm..." And now the hard part. So how long have you been hiding your girlfriend from us, Willow, was the actual question. She felt a blush creep up her face, gnawed on her lip some more before slowly letting out a breath.

"Ah, uhm... A few-- weeks? Month's -- maybe? So could you maybe sit down?" she babbled on herself, "cause my neck is starting to hurt from looking up at you. Yeah... Erm."

Tara glanced between the two friends, her brows nearly into her hairline. She blinked when Xander had mentioned her allure stemming from not being from Sunnydale. She tried not to feel a little hurt about not being alluring otherwise but her blue eyes shifting away from Xander probably spoke more volumes than saying anything.

She was used to being 'not' alluring for most of her life so it wasn't that big of a deal. She glanced over at Willow who took the vocal route, which Tara was very smitten by. Still, Tara had to wonder if Xander didn't find her 'alluring' enough for Willow, what that meant for them. Best friend approval was mandatory, at least, that was Tara's understanding of the long-term dating thing.

She looked over at Willow, feeling their hands' connection.

Once Xander either followed the suggestion or maybe not, Tara smiled. "W-W-Willow's... she's very special to m-me..." Tara was grimacing inside at the amount of stuttering that was erupting from her mouth. "We met at the W-Wiccan group that wasn't actually populated by... Wiccans." She felt like she was talking about nothing and turned back to the ground.

Xander was just starting to wrap his head around this - Willow girl, Tara girl, Willow and Tara together, ergo Willow lesbian (or at least bi) - when Willow snapped at him. "Wait, what? No, no, I didn't say she was not alluring. I said, 'not that she's not alluring.' See, double negative, equals a positive. Grammar Guy digs himself out of a hole!"

Truth be told, Xander's tastes in women would mean that he'd probably see right through Tara for the first few months if she was any sort of decent catch. After all, he hadn't even been attracted to Willow until after he already started dating Cordelia, and he had never felt anything but loathing for the brunette beauty queen until years after he had first met her in grade school. And then there was Anya, whom he had initially casted off as a creepy demon stalker. Which, y'know, might've not been too far off the mark at first, but he eventually warmed up to her.

Furrowing his brow as Willow replied with how long they had been dating, Xander absently sat down and remarked, "I thought you always enjoyed looking up to me." Weeks. Months, possibly. Huh, so he already had ignored her. But it wasn't his fault, right? After all, Willow had seemed so shocked to see him here, so maybe she had been trying to keep this whole thing a secret. Which, y'know, hurt, but he supposed he'd be able to understand. He wasn't all too hot on the idea of people finding out about him and Anya initially either, or about him losing his virginity to Faith. Awkward moments tend to be private moments.

Looking over at Tara as she spoke, Xander told her, "Yeah, well she's kind of important to me, too." Wiccans. Though he was ashamed to realize it, he thought that maybe this whole thing was as much of a phase as that whole magic thing. Damn those erotic images of naked witches dancing around a fire! Look what they did to Willow!

Laughing quietly at his own foolish thought, he shook his head and said, "Considering the kinds of girls that tend to catch my eye, I'm guessing it's a good thing I've managed to be in the dark about this for so long. At least we know you're not an evil mummy or anything. Unless you have kids and happen to be a bad mom, but that would just be a bad pun. Er... you don't have kids, do you? Not that I don't like kids or anything, but...." But how would she have them, being all gay and stuff? Deciding to nip that question in the bud before he got himself in hot water and also wanting to steer clear on the more demon-y aspects of life, he shook his head and murmured, "Skip it."

Looking to Willow once again, he smirked, "Well, this explains why you weren't at the last meeting." He left it vague in terms of the Scoobies, just in case Will wasn't ready to let Tara in to that side of her life just yet. "I'd squirrel myself away under a tree with somebody I care about rather than bury myself alive under dusty tomes, too." After a moment, he asked, "Does Buffy know? Because if I'm the last to find out about your newest hot item, I feel like a putz. Not that I don't already, but y'know."

The look on her face was not convincing when Xander tried to dig his way out of his grammar faux pas or whatever he'd like to call it. She thought Tara was way alluring. So very much of the alluring it was shining so bright it almost blinded her. Okay, maybe she was totally in love but hey, that didn't give Xander a right to say Tara wasn't with the alluring. Not like she went around stating how not alluring Anya was. Geeze.

And when it came to girls Xander was totally blind anyway. Took him years to see something when there was like...nothing. Willow was still groping around in the dark as to why he had *ever* dated Cordelia Chase for example. Then there were the demon girls he seemed to attract like flies or something. Faith, less said about her the better. And now Anya. She wasn't gonna say it out loud, but Willow thought Xander's view on girls wasn't all that of the greatest. Especially not if he couldn't see the alluring of Tara. Pffft.

Hearing Tara say that she was special to her made Willow beam. The sort of smile a totally in love person has on his or her face was now almost constantly on Willow's. It was really like walking on sunshine and hearing Tara saying things like that only made it worse. Er... better. And what was Xander on about now? Wow, he really must be with the confusion to babble on like that. Willow felt a little bit sorry for her friend.

Until he mentioned the suspicious maybe kids. What? No really, what? Her mouth opened and closed several times at that one, but nothing really came out. What did you say about that? She glanced at Tara, green eyes widening and going apologetic. She scooted closer to her girlfriend - eeh! Girlfriend, that was just so exciting to say! - and they both glanced at Xander and his waterfall of words again.

"Skipping it won’t make it less with the embarrassing," Willow muttered, though she colored a bright red at the mention of a missed meeting. "Meeting?" she asked, looking alarmed. "I missed a meeting?" Visibly distressed by this, she tried to control her breathing. Before you knew it she was gonna be hyperventilating at missing a meeting. She hadn't known, probably cause she had been-- heh - occupied.

"Does Buffy now-- Oh! About... no." No one was supposed to know yet, she wanted to say. But Xander was here and looked kinda hurt that he didn't know. Which made Willow feel guilty but she really wanted to have Tara all to herself for as long as possible. And, you know, out of the demony world.

"Putz? You're not putzlike, why do you feel like a putz?" And hey, you bet Tara was a really hot item. Okay, she thought that, she didn't think it out loud.

Tara flinched slightly when Xander mentioned how Willow was important to him, too. She took it to mean her presence had seemed to demean his importance or that her presence was just bothering him in general. "I-I-I didn't mean to, uh, insinuate..." But the two kept talking and she looked down and away, shyly. She didn't want to talk anymore, afraid she would say something else that Willow's best friend didn't like to hear.

Her blue eyes glanced over at Willow when the redhead was shocked about some meeting that she missed. Would Tara be blamed for missing what seemed like another important meeting? She would hate to think so.

Willow really had kept their relationship a secret. In a way, Tara felt bad, although she was quite flattered that Willow wanted to keep her to herself.

"I, uh, don't th-think you're a putz," she stated, trying to help the situation. She really wanted Xander to like her - really like her. If at least to get the best friend seal of approval. Although, the mention of someone named Buffy meant there was another wall to try and get through. She felt like she wasn't doing so well with this one.

Xander considered what Willow said in terms of his kid query. Okay, so maybe that was a little more than awkward and out of line. But still, he had to have a cover. If Tara didn't know about the existence of praying mantis demons that wanted to eat virginal high school boys, then his mention of mummies would've probably seemed weird unless he found a quick way to back pedal. And while Xander always had a creative excuse for not doing his homework, he wasn't really one with the quick and convincing back pedals.

"There was a meeting a couple of nights ago," Xander told Willow, choosing his words carefully. "But no worries, it was just me, Buff, and Giles, going over newspapers and talking over jelly donuts. Fun times. Not that an extra dose of the Will wouldn't have upped the fun meter, but hey. You've got Tara, I've got Anya, Buff has Riley, and now all that's left is to find Giles an uptight librarian chick. Then we can go on quadruple dates." Considering that anytime a large number of the Scoobies came together usually resulted in some mass demon extermination or an apocalypse of some sort, Xander shrugged and added, "Or maybe not."

So Buffy didn't know about... them. Okay, that was good. At least he maintained best friend superiority over Buff, which is how it should be. Not that it was a competition, but at least now Xander felt considerably less oblivious. "Ah. Well, if you're still aiming on keeping people in the dark, you just let me know and I'll be sure to keep it on the DL, whatever that means."

Remembering the various content smiles Willow flashed at Tara and seeing the way they were holding hands, Xander ran a hand through his hair and mentioned, "Well, not knowing when my best friend is walking around with her heads over her heels seems to qualify as putz-like behavior."

Cocking his head over at Tara, he jokingly mentioned, "Thanks. It's nice that you think so, since I'm sure you'll be proven wrong soon enough." In the back of his mind, he wanted to get to know Tara a lot better too, though he couldn't bring himself to ask any questions about her. There just seemed something so... invisible about her? She seemed nice enough, but she wasn't exactly someone to stand out in the crowd. Then again, Willow's last girlfri-... er... significant other also happened to be of the low-key sort, so maybe it was just a thing she had.

"So, um, maybe, when the two of you are open to it, we can all do the whole getting-to-know-one-another bit? Like... bowling. Bowling has always served me well in the past. Does bowling sound like getting-to-know-one-another material?"

"There was?" Willow breathed. Still holding onto Tara's hand she dove into her bag to look for her electronic scheduler. She always, always made put everything in there so she wouldn't forget. Surely she hadn't been so with the caught up that she'd forgotten. Not being able to find it right away she had to let go of Tara's hand to dig through the bag more thorough. Willow was pretty sure there had been talked about more then newspapers and donuts.

This sounded more then a little weird to have a meeting about. Great, now Tara was gonna think she was best friends with a couple of freaks. Okay, that was what most everyone thought but that didn't mean she was asking for affirmation right in front of her nose. Willow would at least like to be with the cool and normal appearing a little longer where Tara was concerned. What if the girl was gonna freak out. She'd fit in with rest of the freaks but... yeah, not with the wanting a freak out for Tara.

"Here we go," Willow mumbled, pulling her cute little - also pink - scheduler out of the bag. She pressed a few buttons and frantically started to look through it when Xander dug in the knife even deeper. She hadn't been feeling guilty about wanting to keep Tara a little longer for herself and not share her girlfriend just yet. But Xander seemed to be the master at calling on the guilt feelings.

She put down the device - not having yet found the entry of the meeting yet - and looked at Xander crestfallen. Unconsciously she reached for Tara's hand again, wanting to feel the comforting weight and warmth in hers. "I'm sorry," she blurted out, looking from Tara to Xander distressed. Wow, lay on the guilt why dontcha. Just cause she wanted to keep Tara for herself a little longer. Not like Xander had come out and told everyone about Anya right away had he? Nope siree!

Not like she had any other significant partners before Tara. Other then-- Oz.

"Bowling?" Willow looked uncertain, a small frown appearing on her face as she glanced over at Tara. "Do you like bowling, sweetie? I kinda suck at it, which is probably he suggested it in the first place," she mumbled the latter so only Tara could hear.

Tara felt so in between or in the middle or some awkward position as such, realizing that maybe Willow did want to keep Tara out of her friends line of vision for reasons. She definitely couldn't be a part of these meetings; they sounded very "within the circle" kind of meetings and she knew she was WAY far from being close to that.

And anyway, that's assuming Willow even thought her worthy of the meetings, which, probably not since neither of them had actually mentioned what they were about. That was okay; she hadn't the confidence to show or anything else to show why they SHOULD let her into that circle. She wasn't even sure if wanted to. If Willow was willing to keep Tara to herself, who's to say she didn't want to do the same with her best friends?

She watched as Willow began to check - oh! Cute PDA - her calendar for meetings. Wow. Willow had a calendar to check. Willow had enough activities to have a calendar. Tara didn't. She was practically free all the time. She WAITED for Willow to ask her to do something.

It seemed that Willow's already guilt was suddenly compounded by Xander's comment about leaving them in the darkness. Willow's hand on top of hers, she looked over at her and gave it a squeeze. She would help Willow pull through this; it was a lot for Xander to take, she was sure.

However, bowling did bring a scared, deer-in-headlight expression on Tara's face. "Oh, b-b-bowling?" She looked down at the blanket beneath them, admiring the patterns. "Uh, I... I'm not very good at the, um, activities that need physical m-movement. Especially with..." She trailed. Boy, was she going to walk into that one if she finished that sentence with what she was going to end it with. Balls. "B-But I'm willing to-to try..."

Maybe. She was pretty sure she would freak out. Sports and Tara just never mixed - ever.

Xander watched as Willow took out her PDA. That wasn't like Willow at all. Not the PDA bit; it was normal for her to like being organized and everything. But the actually needing to look at the PDA... well, that struck him as odd. Willow was the know-it-all. She was the PDA. And fine, she could burn out or just need a break or something, but Xander hadn't seen her so scattered since... well, he never had. He shot Tara another appraising look, wondering just what the other girl was hiding behind her stutter that his best friend found so appealing.

And then Willow called Tara "sweetie." Which, you know, was to be expected, being her girlfriend and all of that. But while Xander was theoretically okay with the concept of Willow dating Tara, all of the little things - the hand-holding, the pet names, everything - that reinforced it just seemed odd to him.

Still, he was supportive. He had to be supportive. Because really, he was just in a mild kind of shock. And if he could get over the idea of being romantically involved with a former vengeance demon that had become attracted to him after his ex-girlfriend had used her to bend reality as a form of revenge, then sure, he could get used to this.

Seeing Tara's expression to his mention of bowling, though, didn't help to make Xander believe he was helping the situation. It was just the first thing he could think of, since he had gone on a double date at a bowling alley with Willow, Cordelia... and, uh, that guy who might have been the last guy Willow would ever date. At least, they would have gone bowling, had an evil Spike not kidnapped him and Willow with the intention of forcing Willow to make him a love potion. And the end result had been a kiss that, unfortunately, had an audience that consisted of Cordelia and... that guy.

The more he remembered the chaos of his last proposed bowling venture, the more he decided that the girls were right to react that way. "Well, physical movement was never really much my forte, either. Then again, most bowlers have beer bellies, so maybe there's something to that. Anyway, uh, how about a movie? Very limited physical movement there. In fact, your enjoyment of the movie is quantified if you stay positively still and quiet, save for the occasional munch of popcorn."
