Things had gone in a bit of a whirl. While the Sunnydale crowd was still looking for a spell that should get them a more clear view on where they were keeping Dawn, the Los Angeles crew already knew where that might be. There had been a bit of smugness on *some* members of the Fang-gang about that. Because it was obvious that Dawn had been taken and was being kept by none other then Wolfram and Hart.
Everytime that name was mentioned, Wesley expected some sort of ominous music to cue in like it had done on those silly telly movies Gunn or Cordelia had forced him to watch. At least Angel would spend an evening talking about books. That lasted about five minutes with Gunn and Cordelia before they turned on the telly.
At any rate, what they needed next was a spell to make certain those who were going inside the bloody firm would be undetected. This was especially the case for Angel of course since paranoia about vampires - especially Angel - was high on the list of Wolfram and Hart. Of course Wesley has a spell at the ready he had used for Angel before but this time with the help of Willow, Tara and Giles he was able to come up with an ever stronger versions. More hands really did make light work.
After the hocus pocus as Cordelia so aptly had put it, all the spell-casters had been tired from the use of magic and gone to bed early. Wesley had taken up residence in the room us occupied usually when there was no time or no energy to go home for a firm round of sleep. Not that there really were firm rounds of sleep in their job but... The moment his head had hit the pillow Wesley had been asleep. His only regret had been that Cordelia wasn't there.
Willow and Tara had gone go their room. No one had looked funny about that, though only the Sunnydale people knew they were a couple. Everyone was to tired or to busy with other things to really pay them any mind. Which suited Willow just fine. Tara was rather shy and timid, she didn't want her new girlfriend to feel intimidated or scared or rushed or anything negative! Not of the good that. Not of the good at all.
They, too, had been asleep the moment they were under the covers. Willow had wrapped her arms around Tara and held her close. Despite her worry about poor Dawnie - she had to be so scared all alone and who knew what they were doing! - she was asleep within seconds. The next morning, however, her stomach told her that it had been *quite* a while since it had been filled. They never had gotten around to going out for that bite to eat after they had hauled the books into this magic room.
They both showered, gotten dressed and went down to find something to eat. The kitchen provided very little, making Willow wonder if they ever ate here. Did Angel cook? He didn't need the food other then blood and of *that* there was plenty in one of the fridges. But no real food. So when Wesley came into the kitchen to make his customary tea, Willow asked him where they could for a bite to eat.
"Oh dear," Wesley said, glancing at them both. "How very inhospitable of us. Of course, of course. Why don't we have breakfast at a small dinner nearby. The ah-- others seem to be in a heavy strategy session so they wont miss us."
Strategy was really Wesley's strongest point and he was going over that plan later on. But Gunn and Angel could be so fragile with their male ego that Wesley knew when to back off. He wasn't a strong warrior, didn't have the bulky muscles like they did so obviously he couldn't know of these invasions or the likes. Why *Xander* then was allowed there Wesley had no idea, but since most of the Sunnydale crew already didn't like him he wasn't going to ask.
"Oh, that'd be great," Willow interrupted Wesley's thoughts with a beaming smile. "If it's not too much trouble?
Wesley shook his head. "Not at all, I'll go ask Cordelia if she'd like to come along. If anyone else would like to come as well ahm-- I suggest we meet in the Lobby in five-teen minutes?"
Which was where they stood now. Waiting. Of course Cordelia would be late, Wesley thought. But fashionable or not, his stomach was starting to protest the waiting. He really didn't know what could take her so bloody long. She looked just fine as she was in his opinion. But then, he might just be a little bit bias. And was he seeing things or were Willow and Tara standing awfully close together?
