...I spent yesterday afternoon in the tax office trying for the fourth time to sort out a tangled cock-up involving the tax office thinknig I owedthem £34K in back tax...yes, that's thirty four thousand pounds...current bill is down to £4K but that's still wrong due to them putting in some years twice making it seem I'd paid half what I should.
I saw the same person I'd seen in 2005 who confirmed that they hadn't made the amendments I'd been intothe office twice before to rectify, so we'll see if they get done this time. Meanwhile she did at least get the Sefton Tax office to cancel the court summons for £4K that was due at the start of Feb...
...so, given my experience with the tac office, I thinkn you have reasonable grounds for fear and gibbering...
I was so wound up yesterday that I was shaking, and by 8 in the evening this had translated into a migraine...
