The Queen of the Goblins salutes you

A couple of years ago I had a dream where I was the Queen Of The Goblins. They weren't the nastier kind of goblins, more the kind that snuck into your house and jumped up and down on your bed. I woke up from that dream very childishly gleeful (having spent almost the entire dream bouncing on beds). So I'm very much enjoying Goblins - Life Through Their Eyes - it's nice to see my little guys getting some good press for once. It's a beautifully written web comic - thoughtful, funny and moving. It's well worth going back to the start and reading right through, it won't take you long. And if you've ever done any role playing, either table top or online, then you're likely to find it very amusing. I'm not a role player (although I did do those 'now turn to page 300' adventure books as a kid) but I live with three of them so I'm well aware of many of the tropes.

I'm having this weird thing at the moment where I wake up at about 7am. It doesn't matter how late I've got to bed the night before, I'm awake at 7 whether I want to be or not. It's quite nice being up because it means I can get stuff done but it also means that I'm not getting nearly enough sleep. Still, this morning I've had breakfast, showered, done my Diary Project letter, done some work on Parse and caught up with the Goblin archives - all before 10am. And now I'm going to brave the rain to walk round to the shops to pick up a couple of things, go to the library and post my letter.
