Creative update
Haven't done one of these in a while, but today I've written 777 words (okay, 778, but the triple seven sounds cooler). That's half a chapter of Open Arms. Yay?
There's something about this time of year that makes me want to give up before the day is half done. The darkness, mostly. Even though I can look at the clock and say "I have this many hours left before I go to bed", my brain nopes out on accomplishing anything, whether it's tidying or writing. I have done a bit of both and it is now 6pm. I could aim of 5 hours of doing something, anything, or five different things, or something that isn't tied so neatly into hours. All the things I want to do while I'm at work and wait for the weekend to do. Yet it's hard to think of any of them, let alone find the motivation to do them. And I want to know why that is. (Never mind the darkness, I'm pretty sure this is a year-round problem, only it's more pronounced now.)
