The Princess Legacy: 2.1 - We're Starting to Make Mistakes
The last time we checked in with the Princess family, Julie had just popped out the family's second pair of twins. If you wanna catch up, the master list of updates is here along with the family tree post here.
Me: You should have been a family sim.
Tae: I know, right? I love half of my children!
Only one of the girls is pictured here, but Julie gave birth to two female babies: Mocha and Cherry. And, once again, the mothers take no issue with playing favorites and are obviously more fond of Mocha than her sister.
Granted, this time around, it's pretty much only Tae paying any attention to the babies. Julie has pretty much emotionally checked out.
Tae: She's checking out of everything. She never even flirts with me anymore.
Me: Um, she was pregnant? Maybe she didn't...
Tae: You're right. Julie loves me, she'll come around again :D
Me: But you should probably...
Tae: I don't know what I would do without her.
Poor Tae, she's in denial about her Julie being a romance sim and how I think she's starting to get a bit bored. Romancing Tae is starting to not be enough, Julie keeps rolling wants about falling in love with two sims or flirting with the nanny since the previous flirting incident.
Chad: Mom! I got an A+!
Fox: Mom! I got an A+ and I haven't bathed in a week!
Tae: Hey honey, how about we get dinner tonight. Just the two of us :D
Julie: ~sleeps~
Like I said, Julie isn't even bothering to get out of bed.
Early this day I had built on an expansion to the house to start preparing for the girl's future bedroom. It's unfurnished and sealed off from the rest of the house. When the boys got home from school, they brought this girl with them.
I thought it was weird they ignored her and I didn't see her inside the main part of the house so I went looking for her.
I honestly have no fucking idea how she got in there. I was tempted to keep her but eventually opened up the wall and let her out. I don't think Julie or Tae want to face kidnapping charges.
Tae: I love you, baby.
Julie: You're so hot, let's put the kids to bed early tonight....
Julie: ...and have some fun ;)
I'm pretty much having to keep these two flirting, making out and having sex to keep them from going into aspiration failure. Which means the kids have fallen into a secondary position.
Or possibly third. Two sets of twins is turning out to be more than this couple can handle.
They also lost the last of their money due to a chance card and couldn't pay their maid that day so she decided to just take some shit home with her instead.
I don't know what it is about stealing from two kids that these sims love so much but they always immediately go to there bedroom to steal something off their shelf. She also took one of the their cabinets, which Tae and Julie didn't notice but the boys were strangely upset over.
Fox: How did she even get this to fit into her bag? Magic? Is our maid a witch? I'm going to have to read up on this.
Chad: OMG SHE TOOK OUR CABINET THIS IS NOT FUN WHY WOULD SHE DO THAT. THIS IS NOT FUN!
Poor fluffball, he just doesn't understand so I made him watch tv for the rest of the afternoon to get his levels up.
Chad: When I stand this close to the screen the players look really big!
Me: You are still not the smart one, are you?
Chad: Sometimes Fox does my homework for me :D
Horrible nanny: You are looking nice today.
Julie: So are you, you know my wife won't be home from work for another two hours ;)
Uh oh this will not end well.
Horrible nanny: You have a beautiful daughter, two of them actually, with your wife. I may suck at taking care of them but you should remember this before you say anything else.
Julie: I'll be right back, I have to go put this thing back in her crib.
It should be noted I think this is the first time I've seen Julie actually hold one of her daughters after she gave birth. The only reason she has her is the nanny decided to bring her into the room and give her to Julie after she was beckoned.
Maybe the horrible nanny isn't as bad as I thought she was and things will...
Oh that's real nice. Make out with the nanny in front of your children.

At least Chad was to caught up in the game and naive about his mother's romancing ways to notice this was happening.
Fox, on the other hand, totally knows which side is up.
Because babies are kinda boring, I had them grow up as soon as I possibly could.
This is Cherry, who looks extremely serious. I have a feeling she may take after Julie and Fox.
And this is Mocha who is the most precious thing I have ever seen. I couldn't get a photo of her without Fox, because he pretty much immediately ran over to her to start playing which was a bit unnerving based on his normal attitude.
Julie: I've made a horrible mistake, Chad. I should have never kissed our nanny.
Julie did this on her own, so the only conclusion I can come to is she's actually feeling a tiny bit of guilt about what she did considering her normal lack of awareness she has kids.
Julie: It'll never happen again, I swear. I love you.
Me: Um, this is all well and good but he wasn't the son that saw you....
Julie: He's not? Damn, they both look too much a like.
Me: Yea. Let's go with that.
Julie: Look, I'm trying. I am trying really hard here. But I did not sign up for four kids and a wife who never wants to go out anymore and I made a mistake. I made a horrible, horrible mistake because I hate my life and my choices but I'm going to try and make the best of it. I even accepted the boys are probably mine, isn't that enough? I'm standing dramatically in the rain and begging you to just let it go. PLEASE!
Well Julie fought her inner demons, it was time for the twins to become teens. I had Fox grow up first and it's like every time he ages his looks work less and less.
After his makeover, which helped a bit. Those 9 clean points totally explain why he'll randomly start scrubbing the counters. Also, I'm not surprised by the 2 serious points. His turns on are jewelry and custom hair and his turn off is logical, which baffled me until I realized it's probably because it reminds him of his cheating mama.
His lifetime want is to become a celebrity chef, which fits in nicely with the pleasure aspiration and he's totally gay according to acr.
This cap serves two purposes, one is to show Chad immediately after he aged into a teen and to also show Fox's profile which...not really working for me. Where the fuck did he get that chin from?
After his makeover. Totally not shocked by those 9 nice points, him and his fluffball ways, but I am kinda surprised that acr made him straight. His turn on's are jewelry and charismatic and his turn off is black hair. Lifetime want is to become an education minister and the fact he's a knowledge sim is kinda funny when you consider the boy isn't the brightest to say the least.
Mocha: ~Temper Tantrum~
Fox: I got you, little girl.
No, seriously. These two? Are fucking adorable and Fox is totally smitten with the little precious angel. He's pretty much ignoring everyone in the family to spend as much time as he can with her.
And Mocha totally loves her big brother to pieces.
Fox: Well, someone in this family has to raise the poor thing.
Me: And her sister?
Fox: Chad can do it?
Me: Chad? Really?
Fox: It's better than our moms.
So, the heir option is pretty much between Fox and Mocha at this point (I'm waiting for Mocha to age to make that final decision) but either way I have a feeling I won't be able to separate these two.
Before school, Chad decided to make breakfast but left it in the oven when the bus showed up.
I'm amazed by this but somehow the worst nanny ever got even worse at her job. The stove burst into flames, with poor little Mocha only a few feet away. And the nanny just stood there, not even reacting.
Little brave Mocha, use to the insanity of her home at this point, wasn't even bothered.
Continuing to suck at her job, the nanny didn't bother to change Cherry's diaper for three hours. Poor girl kept trying to get her attention and the nanny just kept feeding her more and more food.
Chad: My food is burned D:
Chad: Why is my food burned? D:
Me: No more cooking for you.
Chad: Why? :(
Me: You almost burned down the house, sweetheart.
Chad: I just wanted some toaster pastries. :(
See, you can't separate them.
Mocha: Da-da! Da-da!
Fox: Uh-oh.
Me: Uh-oh.
Mocha: Dada!!!
Tae: Mocha...baby. You know I'm your mommy, right?
This picture pretty much sums up Tae's relationship with her daughters. Much like her brother Chad, poor Cherry is pretty much ignored and left to chill in her highchair. She doesn't even scream or complain anymore, she just sits and watches everyone go about their business well her sister gets Tae, Fox's and on occasion Chad's attention.
Julie: ~whisper~ I'll meet you there.
Tae: Who you talking to honey?
Julie: Oh, it's just the cab company. I was going to buy some new clothes for our daughters now that they're growing so fast.
Me: Oh really?
Tae: You are so sweet :D
Me: Julie, we both know that wasn't just the cab company.
Julie: I'm just meeting a friend to go shopping, calm down.
Me: So who is this friend you're meeting.
Julie: Just a friend. Calm down.
As Tae helps Mocha master walking, Julie walks out without a wave. Poor, naive Tae doesn't notice anything odd about this.
Julie: Hey.
Worst nanny ever: Hey.
Julie: Hey.
Worst nanny: You already said that.
Julie: Yeah, guess I did.
Just a friend, my ass.
To keep her from completely lying, Julie started to browse and try on some of the clothing the store offered.
Julie: Honey, get in here.
Worst Nanny: But people are watching
Julie: Live a little ;)
Worst nanny: We are so bad.
And Julie proceeded to bang their nanny in the changing room, the harlot.
Me: You look pleased with yourself.
Julie: It was a one time thing. One last hurrah!
Me: Uh huh.
Julie: Look, I'm going straight home now.
Julie: I need a cab, please.
Me: You're not even going to buy any clothes for your daughters?
Julie: I feel dirty now.
Me: Yeah, that stench coming off you is the musk of your nanny and sex.
I didn't have any caps but Julie pretty much showered, went to bed and called a cab first thing in the morning.
Me: Why are at the art museum.
Julie: I needed to get some air and to talk to a friend.
Me: The same friend as last night?
Julie: No! I'm not going to see her again. It's a friend I've had since high school.
Around this point, brunette jogging girl that Julie is friend's with showed up.
Julie: I'm so glad you're here. I need some ad...
Jogger girl: I'm glad you called. I've been waiting for it forever.
Julie: What?
Me: What?
Jogger girl: Remember when we were young and use to...experiment.
Julie: I could never forget
And then they made out for about half an hour in the snow. It would have been romantic, if you forget she has a family at home. I would say something about this being a lesson about marrying a romance sim but we've already been there, done that.
Jogger girl suddenly bolted when a few other people showed up on the lot, most likely to save their reputations, so I made Julie go home.
Julie: Tae, can you come into the bedroom?
Everytime Julie comes home from cheating, she'll walk by Tae staring and think of her.
You're not even going to shower first? And your daughter is watching you.
Mocha is totally in lead to become heir because when she realized her moms were about to do it, she just laughed and ran out of the room.
I like her.
Cherry, right after she grew into a child. Still cute but serious looking.
The outfit change did wonders but we'll see how her personality develops.
Right after, cause they're twins, Mocha grew into a child. So fucking adorable.
Please remain cute and adorable and develop a good personality. Please?
I don't dare give Tae and Julie anymore children, however I am thinking about getting Tae a cat.
I finally upgraded some of the rooms, an extra bathroom because one is definitely not cutting it anymore and a place for the girls to sleep now that they're kids.
Because I was playing at like 4 am at this point, I kinda zoned out and forgot to take photos of Julie calling up another cab and meeting Jogger girl at the low end clothing store.
And this happened.
I swear, I think it's starting to get easier and easier for Julie to have affairs.
After sex happened, again, in the dressing room Jogger girl fell in love with Julie.
And here ends the update, I have a feeling that things are going to get very interesting very soon. Tae is not going to seem extremely naive and trusting with Julie leaving the house at all hours to meet her woman.
