Yesterday was fucking wicked. I got my photo back from Jonathan Cheechoo. Autographed. THANKS CHEECH!!! <3 Saw Fall Out Boy, +44, The Academy Is..., and Cobra Starship at The Honda Civic Tour. All in all, an amazing night. I miss going to concerts as much as I used to. I am sure, I was one of the old people in the crowd.
On the way to The Ford Ampitheater, I am driving, and this van drives up next to me, and honks it's horn, and they are holding a sign in the window, and at first, I can't read what it says, but as I study it more, I am so grossed out! Fucking pigs, the sign said "titties?"....ugh are you fucking joking? I should have gave them the bird, but seeing as it was rush hour traffic, I chose to pay attention to the traffic instead of some assholes. My sister was pretty grossed out too. People have no fucking sense, I swear.
We finally got to the ampitheather. It was so hot. As soon as we got in, we stood in the merchandise CROWD for a good 30 mins at least. They didn't have much merch honestly, I expected more. So I just got my sis her Hemingway FOB shirt, which is really cute! After that we signed up for a free poster...I just wanted it for Stumpy. <3 haha. We got some water, went to the bathroom, and got to our seats, just as Cobra Starship was playing. They were great, and the singer, who I later found out, is named Gabe, is quite the hottie. Towards the end of thier set, they said they'd be signing for people and stuff. So, my sis and I ditched the crowd and went and lined up. We had to run the whole length of the place though, haha. The guys were SO NICE! Geez. Gabe was funny, and sweet. He asked us our names, and signed our tickets with our names...needless to say, I love them! :) COBRA STARSHIP!! WOO!
We got some lemonade after that...luckily for us, while we were meeting Cobra, we missed Paul Wall, I was not at all interested in hearing him AT ALL. We got back to our seats to see The Academy Is...(not impressive), and +44, who I learned later is fronted by two of the guys from Blink182...I never liked them that much, so listening to them sing The Girl At The RocK Show, was like, uhhh, yeah. haha.
We were so excited when FOB came on. We lost our voices! I took alot of pictures, I wish we had been closer though. Next time!! They did alot of great songs, including my favorite Hum Halleujah! I almost cried when Patrick was on stage with his keyboard, and sang "Golden", it was so beautiful! I adore that man! Patrick sang part of an Akon song too, which was really funny. Pete was very talkative, I don't know why, but I expected him to be very shy and quiet, boy was I wrong! haha. He is cute, but the obsession over him from every chick makes me want to vomit, lol. At least my sister is descent about it. haha. They started to play a P!ATD song, and my sis almost peed in her leggings! It was hilarious, she was SO hoping for Brendon Urie to make an appearance! No such luck though. They did a cover of Beat It by Michael Jackson too, which was hilarious!
The band was amazing, and I love singing along with the band, and thousands of other people who are complete strangers, but are all friends for an hour and a half. Music is so amazing how it can bring so many people together.
Thank you music, you are my boyfriend forever. <3
