picnics & adventures with elljay.
Today Lindsey & I went for a small picnic in Girard Park where we got to reunite with our ducks in the pond that I have so dearly missed since before Christmas Break.
We ate sushi we picked up from PJs, spinach croissants, a lemonade for myself & two Tabs for Lindsey, please.
Cute toddlers said cute things about how "it's cold outside, mommy!" & squealing about the "duckies!"
It was lovely.
The weather was defined as perfect in either Hawaii or someplace European that we may think could possibly be Venice or Florence, I can't remember, Italy.
After the sun began to hide & make us cold we decided to drive around Lafayette looking for houses to possibly live in next semester, but we weren't too successful at this task.
Needless to say it was quite the adventure that I'm shocked we didn't somehow wreck the car or die somehow along the way.
Ending up in the ghetto & seeing cops pulling over suspicious people & some gathering of thugs was envitable.
Driving into what we thought was a neighborhood but what turned out to be a sorority house, an all black sorority house at that, was indeed the highlight of the ride judging by the lack of air my lungs were receiving, the numbing of my cheeks, & the growing water in my eyes from intense laughter.
I'm not sure why but it's been such a good day. Refreshing, maybe?
