My Meat Heart
happy anniversary to me. my one-year anniversary of being in tennessee, one-year anniversary of leaving new york, apparently for good. until i return to start my freak-chique empire, of course.
i'm submitting an essay to a book, a collection of scholarly essays on queer as folk, in particular to its co-habitation with queer theory. I haven't decided whether to annihilate the show or praise it.
also the 21st anniversary of my body as a self-supporting mass of tissue. "I am man by my hands and my feet, my guts, my meat heart, my stomach whose knots fasten me to the putrefaction of life." --AA, my new-found muse.
