My soon to be sister-in-law is seriously putting my parents in the red when it comes to financing this wedding. Katie came downstairs Saturday to say "Momma wanted me to tell you your half of the flowers is going to be $500." My Mom needless to say almost had a heart attack. The groom is technically only supposed to pay for the Brides bouquet, the grooms boutonniere, groomsmen boutonniere, and mother's corsages. I don't think that little bit would total $500, but then again my brother's high ass maintanenced fiancee probably got a bouquet that costs $300. I am sorry I know that $1,000 is not THAT bad for flowers (for all of them), but people who say the groom doesn't have to pay for anything is crazy... my parents are paying for a lot more than most people think or would for that matter. Oh did I mention the original tuxedoes they had picked out were going to be $300... just to rent them. But my brother put his foot down and informed Katie and her mother that his groomsmen were not spending $300 to rent a Tux. My hat is off to Will for telling them how it is... I mean $300 for a tux rental. My dress isn't even going to cost that much and I am buying it.
