my maple leaf ahia
can't balieve the 3 of us (achi dihia and i) managed to organize a fantastic (if i do say so myself) despedida for my maple leaf ahia (whom i love and miss so very much) in 3 equally crazy days!
it was supposed to be an elaborate affair- wine and cheese party with all the works! we were supposed to decorate our sosi shoe store (Duncan) and serve gourmet cheeses. ayan, operative word: SUppoSeD. hehe. after shopping at Cost-u-less na nga for wines, we realized that good wines would go wonderfully with cheap kiddie cheeses! wahahha in denial. mahal lang talaga. so we bought grapes, kraft eden, hotdog-flavored squeezy cheese, and fita.
it was crazy getting ready for the party(which had a red-and-white theme para canadian flag- kala ng mga tao kasi birthday)!!! mom was cooking crab rice for a separate party so it was conundrum in the kitchen/dining room. we took a LONG time preparing veggie sticks-it's fun to see ur older brother attempting to use kitchen gadgets. and those veggie sticks ended up as parts of faces on paper plates. mga tao talaga, kukulit.
thanks to jamie lao, nikki (ahia's friend), my dad, and ate isa's acting, we actually got ahia to the place despite his fully-booked last night in manila sched, and everyone had fun eating our mini-pizzas (which i think tasted like crap since ahia ordered 4 real pizzas and ppl sure ate a lot of those!) and getting to know all my ahia's other friends. cool nga eh, kasi even his old high school friends came kahit pagod sila from work. and stress goes quickly away naman with wine and grandma(tador brandy)
so yun, it was nice to party with ahia and celebrate the gift that is my ahia
i miss him...
goodbyes are hard. di man lang namin sya nahatid sa airport
but the party was a good send-off and i bet he's havin the time of his life sa Canada now so i'm happy for him
