pilosopiya ng relihiyon - isang tanong
i'm taking ph103 under the great (and funny!) Mr. Eduardo Calasanz now and he mentioned something in class that made me think...
we all have an image of God....
LARAWAN - from the word "eidolon" - root word "idol" - pagsasamba.
his question was...
paano hindi mahuhulog ang relihiyon sa pagsasamba sa isang larawan - sa larawan nating personal ng Diyos?
un lang. the way we all practice our faith and believe is based on an image we have of Him. are we really worshipping HIM then, or what we perceive/were taught/want Him to be?
i guess for me, un nga ung magaling. He's whatever we need Him to be and He IS anything and everything imaginable and more. that way, we're all a part of Him. the many images make our faith richer and our God more creatively brilliant :)
pero un lang, a thought nga...do we worship an image or do we worship God? hmmm....
i love this class. it makes me think outward (wider perspective) and inward (focus on personal issues) at the same time. hanep :)
