In the classes I’m taking here with international and French students, it’s a great advantage to be able to THINK in English. And so I’ve realized something really interesting - this is what life in school must be like for Chars! We Filipino students, along with the other native English speakers, are able to rise above everyone else’s level of comprehension - not because we’re any smarter or better then they are - but simply because we understand the concepts at first hearing ;0) The teacher then goes at a slower pace than you’re used to, making sure that EVERYONE understands the lesson. Ever wonder why Chars is always first to recite and when she does everyone shuts up, faces her, listens attentively, and nods their head in assent and in utter amazement? For the same reason that she doodles - she’s bored and wants everyone else to catch up with her learning. But there’s a big barrier - in our case: language and in hers: IQ level - so fellow classmates remain bewildered and Chars continues to dazzle :o) well, I won’t have the 4.0 GPA or the tarps and trophies; but this glimpse has been fun and enlightening :0)
Gorgeous Chars if u’re reading this right now, hold in that “mweh” u want to let out
To everyone else, feel free to comment ;0)
