Gilbert frowned having finally made his way into the town, holding the books close. Maybe he'd finally snapped, maybe he'd finally just lost his mind. He'd fallen from one strange dreamscape into another? Wonderland? Alice? The Cheshire...cat? The Mad Hatter? How could there be a world with those names as well?
He swallowed thickly, staring at the strange inhabitants of the town. Were they chains? Was this really an illusion of the Abyss? It was very possible, but if that was true. Then he had to escape and to get back to Oz.
He turned down one of the many alley's looking for any way to get home and found himself face to face with himself? He stopped making a strange noise of confusion. "Wh-Wha...huh?!"
Tyki blinked for a moment. Of course he stared, who wouldn't. What the hell... wait. This person was just a little lighter, like his White side... that was impossible though. What the hell. He frowned and pushed himself off of the building. Might as well set things straight.
Gil blinked a few more times, his mouth opening and closing comically as he tried to comprehend this. Now that he was staring at him he could see the differences, his skin was darker and he had a little mole under his eye like Elliot. Still the similarities were damn frightening, almost like looking through a mirror. A darker mirror.
"A-Ah..." He realized he'd forgotten his manners and shifted his books to hold out his hand. "My name is Gilbert. Gilbert Nightray. I'm a bit lost...I don't supposed you know how to go back do you?"
Tyki reaches out and shook the hand, chuckling at the question before looking away. "If I knew I'd be far gone trust me. This place is a little to off, even for me."
He smirked slightly at the other before closing his golden eyes, leaning back against the wall to take another drag of his cigarette.
He frowned, looking downtrodden at this news. "So, there's no way back to Sabrie?"
This wasn't what he was expecting. This was too different to be the Abyss, it brought forth the memories of 100 years ago, it didn't create illusions of completely new places. He was sure, even in his forgotten memories that he'd never been here with frogmen and walking lizards and what may or may not be gnomes. This was even weird for his imagination.
"We're stuck here..." He sighed heavily and pulled out a cigarette pack of his own, patting himself down for a lighter.
Tyki just observed the younger man carefully. He was.... he seemed a bit off in mannerisms. It was as if he was trying to be proper and slightly agressive, but now he seemed nervous and brought down. When he saw the cigarette drawn out, it barely took him a moment to figure out what he lost. "Light it up using mine."

Gil looked up and gave him a grateful nod, taking his lighter and lighting up. He took a long, much needed drag on the cigarette before he returned the lighter. "Thank you...sir."
He frowned looking around for a moment, trying to orientate himself, the cobbled streets all looked the same, but at least it was almost familiar. "Do you know when we're supposed to fight this war? Or even if there's a place for us to stay?"
