Hey, you know my style, I give people a hard time.

I feel kinda bad that people took it upon themselves to push this farther than just egging you on, but I knew you'd just use it as a way to make a stand. Plus it was funny until it went too far. I still prioritize fun over people's feelings (one of my very, very few flaws).

I, too, remember how close we were, and I always resented being left cold because you were so occupied with other things to hold up the friendship. Don't think I harbor any resentment toward you because of it, though. Forgiveness is a virtue I hold dear. I think you're dillusional and self-righteous, but I certainly don't hate you. Yeah I make fun of you because you've claimed humans can dodge bullets, but when it comes down to it, I'd reinstate our friendship if the chance arose and you were willing.

I had always wondered if I ever got through to you. Maybe something sunk in. Maybe there's some hope. We can all be better people. Gotta keep trying.

Oh, and if you're ever in Sarasota, look up a man named Jimmy Minor, he's a good man. No matter what your predicament, he can point you in the right direction.

Oh, and Mandee: This is how men deal with their problems, we argue. Learn the lesson. *wink*

--You got through in a time when no one got through. It was actually a conversation we had in and abouts the guy's bathroom in McLean. I strongly feel the very positive effects of it to this day.
--Yes, I believe humans are capable of the unfathomable, made in God's image and all of that jazz.

That's exactly the conversation I was thinking of.
I'm very, very glad to know I had some positive influence. It means more to me to hear that than alot of things.

However, don't quote part of the Bible unless you expect retaliation in like manner.
"It is appointed for man once to die."
Also, we were made in his image and then fell from glory, now we are a shadow of what we could be. We were made to live forever and then gave it up via transgression. Adam gave away his immortality for sin; tansgression, disobedience, iniquity. Now our only hope is salvation from that sin which is inside all of us. You can get eternal life, but our immortality is unrecoverable.

If you don't believe me, ask Him. He'll let you know.

--He has yet to tell me anything contrary to what I believe thus far. Also, you infer a lot. I do not recall reading anything about being absolutely doomed to suffer the fate of a man I do not know. I understand we carry original sin and all of that, but nothing says I cannot break free.
--Yes, you had a positive influence, but know that the hope you have instilled only fuels my passion.

I'm not inferring anything, everything about the gospel says that we can not rise above that fate... on our own.
Read the Bible more carefully and you see that Adam represents all of us. He represents the fleshly nature we all have, without exception. He wasn't just some guy that made a mistake, he did exactly as anyone of us would have. We all disobey God; that's sin, so we're all guilty of the same crime, therefore we succumb to the same curse.
"All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." We all have the same fate.

So why do we call the Christian faith one of hope? Because there IS a way to 'break free'. It has been established, it has been promised, and it has been PROVEN. It is through the blood of Jesus. You'll never get there on your own or through other means, though, which I believe is your stumbling block. "There is only one name by which man can be saved."

That's the beginning and end of salvation. If people start waving Bibles at you telling you that you are going to hell - that's not the gospel.
Salvation is from sin, not from hell. Salvation is the only real way out of our lost lives. All the substitutes: sex, drugs, entertainment, anger, etc. are only temporary.
There are many other benefits to being saved, but the real purpose is to break free from the barrier that keeps you at a distance with God - sin. Once you break that barrier, you realize what you've been missing. But you'll never get there without some help from a man who bled for you.

If you want to continue this, my SN is jonahips.

Peace.

P.S. You should really do something about your username being misspelled.

P.S. I do not think I can.
