THE STATE OF READINESS OF MY HOME FOR A ZOMBIE ATTACK
STRUCTURALLY: Supurb, everywhere you look is concrete. The large windows pose the only threat.
WEAPONS: My swords, knives, and martial arts. K-T has knives and Jim has a few fancy canes. Oh yeah, fire.
ZOMBIE INFLUX: This place would be ready for anything a steriotypical horde of zombies could throw at it, but there would be a ton of them.
INITIAL POSITION: Not sound enough for me. The windows are a big problem.
STREET POSITION: Awesome. We are just across the street from a gas station and a massive church complex.
HUMAN TRAFFIC: Heavy. This place is relatively close to the highway.
OTHER EXITS: None. We have the windows on the same wall as the doors, so we have to be careful.
RETREAT POSITION: Upstairs. The upstairs appartments have a single concrete staircase leading to them and the windows are accessible only by your more daring and athletic humans without a ladder.
ESCAPE ROUTE: Board the windows as best we can and make a dash outside for the stairs near us, locking the door. Knock a few of the buggers down on the way up the stairs and make it harder for them to follow.
DEFENSIVE BASE: Nice. The livingroom window is just out of their reach and we can stab, chop, and wack at them until we are satisfied.
ACQUIRING MORE WEAPONS: Any travel is a risk, but our car is close and Wal-Mart is only a five minute drive. I am more than ready to run them over if necessary. Wal-Mart has guns. I just have to hope it is not overrun and that any survivors are the sharing sort.
COLLECTING THE TROOPS: There are no troups, sadly. Maybe Willy, if the time is right. He is a war vet.
RIDING IT OUT: Being as this place is low on the zombie radar in relation to a mall(also near us), we should be able to get to the bulletproof gas station for food and fuel.
GENERAL ZOMBIE READINESS: Pretty damn good, I would say. However, I would say the same things for the people in Dawn of the Dead, but they were morons.
Beyond that... People, look up! The sky is above you and your path is unimpeded. Go where you need to go and say what you need to say, but you will not find happiness where you wallow in dispair.
