I think that one of my favourite things about Club Abstract is the fact that it's not always perfect.
For example not all of the songs they play are stellar amazing, this means instead of killing myself by dancing nonstop all night I have a chance to go get a drink/smoke, socialize or just chill out and play some video games.
Also instead of just purely freaks and weirdos who for the most part have an innate sense of how to get along with everyone else at the bar there is also a big chunk of normals.
The female normals usually provide for some nice eye candy as well as an audience/obstacle course while I'm dancing.
The male normals however are much more fun/aggravating. Besides spending lots of time not dancing on the dance floor they will also actively get in the way either drunkenly or belligerently and quite often get pissed off if the way isn't cleared for them. This is where the fun comes in.
For instance tonight at one point while I was dancing one drunken normal couldn't quite get the hint that there was somebody (namely me) dancing in the area behind him that he kept trying to back into. So not missing a beat in the song, I lifted one foot and gently placed it in the back of his knee and kept pushing until he had a choice of stepping away or falling on his face.
At another point a group of four normal guys seemed to be quite annoyed with my dancing. I think it might have had something to do with all the women dancing with and watching me instead of them. Maybe if they weren't standing still they might have done better. After the song I was dancing to was done I walked over to Vic and told him how amusing I found it when people got pissed off with me just for dancing. When I looked back to where they were standing previously on the dance floor they had all disappeared. Hmm... I don't think I mentioned how brave normals are too.
All in all it was a fun night.
