Epic FAIL.
Ay carumba. I am SO glad I've only got one more day at my job - it's probably the only reason why they're not freaking firing me after what happened today.
So I lost my nut at a customer. Actually yelled at him, which, yeah, is not good. Ever. And I happened to be being call-monitored at the time, which was worse, because my quality coach notified my manager and my manager had to take it to her supervisor, and next thing I'm being called up to have a Little Talk with my manager in one of those creepy little white conference rooms.
As for what actually happened? 'Kay, so the customer in question was this freaking whiny dole-bludger. Up to his eyeballs in debt with Work and Income and his landlord and pretty much everyone; he's already getting the full rate of student allowance and has almost used up his entitlement to food grants and whatnot, and he calls up just expecting that we can give him money. FOR FUCK'S SAKE, PEOPLE, CALL CENTRE OPERATORS ARE NOT FUCKING MIRACLE WORKERS!
...so anyway. 'Scuse random ninja caps attack. So this freaking whiny dole-bludger (okay, perhaps I'm being a tad judgemental here, maybe he's in study so he can get a good job and not have to be a dole-bludger anymore, but somehow I doubt it) is all "but I need money!" (after I have explained to him - several times - that he is already getting paid pretty much everything that he's actually entitled to), and THIS is where I just cracked it and went "Then get a bloody job and stop expecting other people to pick up the slack for you, mate!"
(eek! Have to finish writing this monster rant-thing as I've just had two phone calls in like five minutes and am expecting a call back any time now...)
My manager was really nice about it, actually; she knows I'm under a hell of a lot of stress with looking for another job and being on the verge of being kicked out of my mum's place at the moment, and let me go home early (not that I got to go home as I had a job interview right after that; the interview wasn't that bad actually, even though the job I applied for was already taken they're considering me for another job).
