This week has been busy... so far..
Monday i helped unloaded a sea container for blossom_jo's boss then Tuesday i helped move furniture in a small country town called Goomalling where my has had various business ventures in the district over the last 8 years or so.
too assist in the moving we hired a Ute from Bunnings for the day. it all was going well till Mike (my Brother) called and said he broke down about 10kms out of town. So off i went to see if i could help .. i took water as it sounded like he had overheated the moter. but as it turned out there was no need for water and it looked like he needed fuel .... so we went and got fuel ... but that was no help either ... so ......... i towed him into town... then went back and got the trailer then the Ute started to play up ....
made it back to town and it was all bad news for Mikes car .. It wasnt going anywhere ... so we had to take him back to Greenhills, the pub that we have sold and is handed over in 2 weeks.(yay) only to get back to perth at about 730.
30 mins too late to return the Ute.
So we get in first thing this morning back to bunnings to return the Ute. then the woman at the counter started talking about additional charges and lost parts of the Ute.
i was not going to let it slide so i repeated what i was told when we hired the ute and stuck to that story... unlimited KMs... just pay for the fuel you use. something they were going to charge us $81 dollars for that .. and they accused us for loosing a rack off the back of the ute. that wasnt on it in the first place . we were accused of lying, and theft and told straight up that they dont believe anything we say and that sharron (the girl that served us) is trained and knows what to do ... but she didnt go and inspect the car B4 she signed it over and there was no rack on the back ..i noticed that straight away.. she told us that there are unlimited KMs when you ire it at the day rate. so ... i stood my ground.. and ended up getting all the deposit back ... pay no extra for the late return and not charged for the extra Kms. being in the building game for 20 years we spent alot of money with them over that time ... i reckon close on $500,000+ if not more, and other than their bad timber practices .. they are a good hardware store ... pity that some staff are dickheads. but you get that anywhere realy.
