Dentistry :(

Gotta love the way teeth can be tempremental little buggers sometimes. I've been in a vicious amount of pain for the entire weekend with a toothache. When I say vicious, I mean the amount of sleep I got over the weekend was directly proportional to the amount of painkillers I took at bedtime. Nurofens are starting to look like yummy candy and studying is very difficult to do when I can't concentrate because of pain.
So I had to go to the dentist this morning, which is really not the easiest thing in the world for little dentalphobic me to do. I ended up finally getting the tooth I broke 3 years ago extracted this morning. It turned out I'd had an abscess, and it had burst. I'm on 2 kinds of antibiotics now, and still chugging Nurofen Plus (but not as many as before, I can actually go 4 hours between them now!). I feel like crap now, but I'm in significantly less pain than I was in before.

I think I also proved yesterday that my priorities can be a little messed up. Despite being wired to the moon on caffeine and pretty off my face on painkillers, I decided to run the St Patrick's Festival 5k in the city centre, and set a new PB by 4 minutes. Race report from runners here. Sub-25 when I'm not doped up like an Olympian?
