I Need an Adventure
It has been too long since I've gotten into any kind of trouble or even just gotten lost. I decided I am taking a long weekend next week. I am going to load my hiking pack, oil up an old bicycle and borrow my uncle's truck. It's not that far of a drive to Bankhead National Forest, and having hiked it so often as I kid I won't have much trouble remembering where I can camp-out off the trail without having to be in an actual camp ground. Just me, a sleeping bag and several bottles of water. Four days with nothing but hiking, swimming in the river to cool off (and to ease the sting of bug bites) and wilderness sounds like Heaven. I think I'll go start packing.
