It was a monster mash
So I went to a Halloween party this weekend, with my husband and a bunch of friends. Sean was a priest with a knife (now with oozy blood action!) and a bible (pronounced "bib-lee"). I was his punk girlfriend, Lisa. If I'd had more forethought, I'd have bought a black wig and been Joan Jett, because I got pleather pants (on sale!) and a bustier-type thingy, and all it really needed was the wig. But I didn't, and I just messed up my hair and put on eyeliner and called it good. I have other pictures, but I have not the knowledge of the posting of the pictures from my computer, so woe, I cannot post. and since I'm wearing black, I don't know how much shows up. And also, I pull my chin back when I smile, which is not my favorite view of me. But Sean looks quite devilish, don't you think? It's frightening to see him so...so catholic. He disturbed many a person who knows him well.
The host of the party was an X-rated Ms. Potato Head (hysterical), there was my friend the flapper, a V for Vendetta, Mae West (which looked friggin' awesome!), a flasher, a Hitchhiker complete with ring and bathrobe, a cow, Cal Worthington, sans dog spot (Californians will get that one), a hula girl, a bloody and psychotic doctor whose badge said "HI, I'm a pediatrician," and a friend of ours actually came as Sean. Which took very little planning. A flannel shirt over a t-shirt, jeans too long and folded up at the bottom, hiking boots, and a baseball cap. Oh, and a badge that said "MacDougall, Weed Inspector." It was pretty funny. Oh, and several others that I forget right now. But everyone dressed up, and we ate candy and there was a bleeding skull candle and there was imbibing (by others, but that's amusing, too) and creepy music. Fun. Up way too late, completely useless all of yesterday.
Also, in other news, we bought a new computer, and I have a new chair. All I'm missing now is a new desk, to be bought very soon. And then we'll set up everything, and get DSL. And I shall be more up-to-date suave and debonair with my sleek elektronika. Whee.
