Almost time for opera! I'm so excited. You know, I've never been to an opera in person before. Ballet, musicals, light opera, and opera scenes (done in college, I wasn't in any of them). I've sung some opera, in fact, a duet from D.G., actually. I think I was Zerlina. I'm not sure - so many women, so many arias, so little...er, regard for their feelings. The name of the aria, you ask? Um...Là ci darem la mano. I did not totally just have to go look that up. No, indeedy. Ahem. That was also not 11 years ago. Oh, dear.
Countdown to opera-fabulous. I must stop work early and curl my hair. Whee. Girl things. It's been so long since I dressed up, I, I, I'm not sure I know how anymore....
