I am currently unable to sleep, so i thought i'd write an update.

Today was my mother's graduation from Stirling, so me and Kirsty went to that, followed by many cakes and "goblets of sparkling wine" in the Pathfoot Dining Hall (my apologies to custodianiseed for the inconvience).

Graduation ceremonies, or at least the Stirling one, seem to be like rather large school assemblies, with the assorted graduands in place of the pupils getting swimming certificats, rugby colours, or perfect attendance ribbons. Although there was one man who felt that the medieval robes weren't sufficient, and so he carried a rather plastic looking sceptre as well, myself and Kirsty felt that the pink sceptre in alexdickson's bedroom that plays the transporter noise, would have given far more solemnity to the event.

After this there was a reception in Pathfoot Dining Hall My favourite part of the event is when a lady dropped her "goblet of sparkling wine", only to have it bounce up off the linolium floor, clearly the university buys its goblets in the same shop as its sceptres.

We then headed back to the flat for some tea and to pick up some forms and what-not. I tried to teach my mum how to play Mariokart, but she found the process bewildering at best, and would spontaneously spin round on straight pieces of track and start driving in the opposite direction.

We then headed off to the university so Kirsty could get the doctor to sign the forms for her passport (which he is charging £10 for despite having forgot about it when she arrived and asking her to come back and collect them on Monday)and then finally off for a meal at Jimmy Chung's.

Myself and Kirsty then went back to Balloch with my mum, as my Dad is going away for a few weeks and wanted to see me before he left. We plan to head through to Glasgow on Friday en route to Stirling, and watch a couple of films at the cinema, before heading through to Alter:Ego. (if anyone wants to see Borat, The Prestige or any other films on Friday, feel free to express an interest here.)
